2nd Gen Evolution stones in Crystal?

    The FAQ said something about trainers calling you when they've got rare stones. Are those evo stones?

    I played Gold before, but couldn't find a way to evolve the pokémon who needed stones, other than the moon stone evolutions -.-"
    (and you obviously can't buy them in Celadon like in R/B/Y)

    Where do you get evolution stones?
     
    yes some people call you like a fisher calls you when he has found a water stone etc

    ...well, there is a much simpler and obvious way, Fable. When you get to Kanto, go to Cape House in the north side of Cerulean City. There, Bill's grandpa will give you an evolution stone of each kind when you show him the following pokémon:

    Everstone - Lickitung

    Leaf Stone - Oddish.

    Water Stone - Staryu.

    Fire Stone - Growlithe in Silver/Vulpix in Gold

    Thunder Stone - Pichu.


    And well, you can get Moon Stones all the Mondays at night in Mt. Moon (break the stone the Clefairys are dancing around), and Sun Stones in the Bug-Catching contest in the National park as the first prize.

    Also, as squirtle rocks pointed, some trainers you add to your phone list may call you offering one, but that's random.

    So I guess you only get one stone of each kind from Bill's grandpa, and then it's random when you get it from trainers?
    Ok, at least now I dare continue training my Growlithy and Poliwhirlie :3 (no I didn't name them like that, I just had to say it like that).

    yes after you have spoken to the spercific trainer theyll say ill ring you if anything comes up then its just random after that
     
    I also think theres a bunch of trainers (one is near the Day Care) who tell you about Stones cropping up.
     
    If you need several stones of the same king, there's a girl in the south of the 5th town (forgotten the name sorry =s) gives you sometimes leafstones, a boy in the north of the 5th town gives you fire stones and a fisher in the east of the 8th town gives you water stones, but you'll have to get their phone numbers.
