    Hey Guys!

i'm about to EV train a team of mine and I was wondering about a few things:

    1. How long does PokeRus last for exactly? Is it till Midnight after your pokemon gets infected by it, or for 24 hours?

    2. When EV training, how long does it take to completely EV train a pokemon, using the Battle/Power Items (Belt, Bracer, Anklet etc)? Including time to take it to get to a lvel so it can fight on is own.

    Thanks for any help!

You could send out your pokemon w/ Macho Brace and switch it to a stronger pokemon to kill it (they will both get full EVs, not split like exp)

There are 2 ways to obtain EVs.

The first way is to use vitamins, each vitamin gives you 10 EV points, but you
can only use 10 of each vitamin. So if you use 10 Calciums, your Pokemon will
gain a total of 100 EV points.

The second way is to fight other Pokemon to obtain the EVs that they give.
Keep in mind that you'll only receive EVs if you obtain Experience points.

You can also speed up the process when fighting Pokemon by giving your Pokemon
a Macho Bracer or if it has Pokerus. Each of these multiply the amount of EVs
you gain by 2. So instead of gaining 1 EV for fighting a Rattata you'll get 2
EVs if you have Macho Bracer or Pokerus, but if you have both of these on one
Pokemon you'll get 4 EVs instead of 1.

Although 255 EV points is the maximum for a single stat, you should only put
252 on a stat since 255 is not divisible by 4 and you would be wasteing 3 EVs
that could have gone to a different stat.

There are various restrictions that apply to EVs and they are:

A maximum of 510 EVs total.
A maximum of 51 vitamins can be given to one Pokemon.
A maximum of 10 vitamins for a single stat.
A maximum of 255 EVs for a single stat.

I would suggest that you use vitamins for the stat you're planning on growing
first and then fight Pokemon to obtain the rest of the EVs that you need.

Berries have the ability to take away EVs from
your Pokemon by feeding certain berries to them. Here is a list of the berries
    that take away EVs.

    .---------.--------------------.
    | Berry | EV lowered by 10 |
    '---------|--------------------'
    | Pomeg | Hit Points (HP) |
    | Kelpsy | Attack |
    | Qualot | Defense |
    | Hondew | Special Attack |
    | Grepa | Special Defense |
    | Tamato | Speed |
    '---------'--------------------'

So in case you mess up you can give them a berry.

Pokérus lasts forever. Even if your Pokémon has the little face next to it, it still has the virus but it just can't spread it to other Pokémon anymore. Also don't bother wasting your time getting the other power up items as it actually lowers your other stats. This is what you do and this is what works:

    1. Pokérus gives 2x as many EVs. Meaning if you fight a Bidoof, which gives 1 EV for HP, and you have the virus you will get 2 EVs from that fight.

    2. Macho Brace gives 2x as many EVs for whatever the certain Pokémon gives.

So if you have the virus and the item and you fight a Bidoof you'll get 4 EVs for HP. Also 10 vitamins give 100 EV points to its specific stat. So if you give a Pokémon 10 HP Ups it will gain 100 EVs for HP. You can only give 10 vitamins max for each stat on one poke.

Also the Pokémon's nature are important to as it gives a 10% boost to a certain stat.

Also Pokémon who hold an EXP share item will still receive EVs. As long as the Pokémon gains EXP it will also gain EV.
