    Hey all,

    I'm currently working on a version of Emerald where all Gen 1 - 3 Pokémon are obtainable without trading, as well as expanded areas, new areas, new additions to the tilesets, adjusted trainer teams, item distribution, etc. At the moment, I'm working on expanding the Safari Zone map.

    Due to expanding the map, I'd like to increase the number of steps allowed in the Safari Zone to 1500. I've found small guides online for completely removing the step counter, but I've always kind-of liked the Safari Zone set up, so I don't really want to remove the step system entirely if possible, just increase it so the further away areas aren't stressful to get to due to the step limit.

    I'm using base, non-decomp Emerald, and HexManiacAdvanced at the moment. I've tried working out myself where/what to amend, but haven't had much luck, so wanted to see if anyone else has tried the same thing before? I did try asking in the HexManiacAdvanced discord, but didn't get an answer.

    Thanks!

    sSafariZoneStepCounter = 500;

    Change it to 1500.

    Ahhhh gee, sorry I didn't know...
    Good luck then dude, I don't know how to help you...
    You should go to decomp, it really changes your life.

    No worries. To be honest, I am very tempted to switch over to using the decomp, but I'd have to re-do a lot of work, so I'm still on the fence.
