3rd Gen Emerald cloning glitch

    I just found a glitch on youtube about cloning on Emerald version, I already knew about this glitch but I just thought I would learn how it works. Anyway after you reset the game it will say you battery has run dry but we will load your previous file although time based events won't happen anymore. The last part is my question, what does it mean time based events won't occur? Like what for example I don't think I have had a time based event. Does this mean the blend master will never come to town:'(

    Why would it screw up the battery? That makes no sense. I clone all the time and my battery is fine. Also, it shouldn't have to load your last save, if it is your doing it wrong.

    Follow these instructions:

    1. Go to battle tower.
    2. Deposit the pokemon you want to clone in the PC. (add items at this stage to clone items)
    3. Save your game.
    4. Withdraw your pokemon you want to clone.
    5. Talk to the lady behind the counter who is closest to the PC.
    6. Make the challenge and select any two pokemon.
    7. She will ask you to save the game. Say yes.
    8. There will be a two-three second pause at this point and the normal save dialogue pops up. After the pause, not during, turn off your game.
    9. Your pokemon will now be in the part and PC.

    DO NOT TURN OFF DURING THE PAUSE.

    Whats happening is that the pause is actually saving your party but not the rest of the game in preparation for the challenge. Using this method you can clone up too 5 pokemon at once.

    Did you read my post at all? If done exactly as I said everything works fine and nothing is lost.
     
    and about time based events not working anymore, wasnt that an issue with ruby/sapphire, which was you'd get the message and berries would stop growing? didn't that fix by linking to fr/lg or colosseum? it should work.

    I've done all the cloning I could ever want (normally to do with getting more than one TM)
    Nothing happened to my game...
    So yeah.
    Must be the guy on YouTube's glitch
     
    So my berries will stop growing, which sucks. But if I link up to Colosseum than my clock based events will go back to normal?
     
    Unless you somehow screw up the trick which is hard to do your time based events will be fine. I use the Trick all the time, Ive cloned well over 200 pokemon and I can still do all time based events.
