    Eggs! They've been in the game since Gen II and we've all faced that grueling chore of hatching the little angels. To hatch an egg you have to walk/run/cycle around for a certain number of steps until the little dear emerges.

    So, what's your best route for hatching eggs?

    For certain games I have different ones; FR/LG I started at Celadon city and cycled around the middle part of Kanto, after about 3 of them it hatched.

    For D/P I cycled from the daycare to the Veilstone city gate and back down to the Hearthome city gate. It was easier on their because I knew how many steps I had taken.

    B/W I just cycle across the bridges for ever.

    Also, do you like the chore of hatching eggs?; And do you use any flame body Pokemon to cut them steps in half?
     
    In Platinum I just use straight pathway from Route 209 extending to Mid-Route 210.

    In HGSS I use Route 34-Goldenrod City or Cycling Road (Route 17).

    In Black I use Skyarrow Bridge or Route 3 (In front of DayCare)
     
    I use flame body while bicycling around and walking on those spin steps like the one in Mossdeep Gym.
     
    I am so happy that Pokemon Emerald started the outside of battle effects for the abilities. I use a Pokemon that has the abilitiy "flame body" and I then go on any cycling road, bridge or just a very long route and keep going back and forth until the Pokemon hatches.

    I mainly hop on my bike and go to places like Cycling Road, and just go up and down until the egg hatches. Having a pokemon with flame body helps the process go faster.
     
    D/P/Pt: I bike up and down Route 210, Solaceon and Route 209. Sometimes I go into Route 211 and to Veilstone City and then go back to Solaceon.

    HG/SS: I bike up and down Goldenrod and Route 34.

    B/W: I bike from the Day Care Center to Nimbasa or Driftveil and come back.
     
    In Platinum I go cycle up and down in a straight line starting right beside the Veilstone Daycare.
     
    I just go about my normal business and it happens soon enough; no sense making a chore out of a game.
    No need for a long route anyway, if you want something to hatch quickly just get on a mach bike and move in a small circle.
     
    Platinum and Diamond :: Hearthome city -> The route above solaceon town
    Black and White :: Castelia city and raimon city
    Heartgold Soulsilver :: Can't remember o.o

    That's what I do too. I keep forgetting that such an ability as Flame Body even exists. It would help me a lot if only I would remember to use it.
     
    This may be a stupid question, but is catching a wild magmar or ponyta in heartgold have a 100% chance of having flame body? Or Am i wrong?
