ok. I'm really confused. I bread two eevees and made them really happy so I could get an umbreon and an espeon. I evolved one this morning and got my Espeon and I tried at 7:00 for an umbroen, but Eevee tried to eveolve into espeon. So I tried again 5 minutes sgo (11:20 pm) and it's still trying to evolve into espeon. I went back to little root town to check the clock and the time is correct (It's says PM not AM, I'm not that dumb) so what's going on? I notice it's always "light" outside in sapphire unlike in Silver and gold (night and day). Does that mean I can't even get umbreon?

Do you by chance have an older cartridge for Pokémon Sapphire? If so, you may be suffering from the Berry Glitch which stops all time-based processes in your game. Therefore, it would be permanetely day time in your game and the only evolution you can receive would be Espeon. However, there is an easy way to fix this bug. All you must do is either trade with a Fire Red or Leaf Green version or use the special disc that came with pre-ordering Pokémon Colleseum. At least, that fixes it to my knowledge.

If you have already done one or both of those methods, I can't really think of anything other than the internal battery running dry. Does it state that at the beginning of your game?

I could be wrong on this, however; I do hope it was somewhat helpful to you. :/

That is ALMOST correct, you don't trade with FR/LG, you press [SELECT] + (B) at the titlescreen and follow the instructions.
And that Bonus Disc is to Download Jirachi, you just trade with Colosseum, and it will auto-update the Berry Program

Ok. I checked a site that gave a list of things to do for this berry glitch. I've tried all that I am capable of and Eevee is still only evolving into an espeon. Can anyone think of why this is still happening. I only have 7 hours of game time and I don't know when I got the game (after it's release date). So I'm at a real loss here!

Is it a vintage cartridge of Sapphire?
It must be the Berry Glitch.
cases of the Berry Glitch will become quite widespread. As a result, here's the full info on the glitch and how to fix it.

    What is the Berry Glitch?
The Berry Glitch is the nickname for a glitch in the coding of Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire that basically stops the game's day counter moving.(A reason to why your Umbreon didn't show up..) This stops time-based events such as berries growing, the Lilycove Dept Store's sale, and trainer re-battles from happening ( It can be fixed relatively easily, but unfixed it can seriously hinder your enjoyment of the game. It usually only appears on a cartridge that is exactly one year old, but it has been known to appear on newer cartridges for some reason.

The following are all signs that your cart has contracted the berry glitch:
    Trainers stop wanting to re-battle
    Berries stop growing
Lilycove Dept Store never has any sales
Game Corner never has any service days
The Energy Guru never sells vitamins cheap
The tide in Shoal Cave never changes
The Return/Frustration man in Pacifidlog stops giving out TMs
All of the recent Pokemon titles have the glitch fix installed into them. There are several different methods of fixing the glitch, depending on the game you intend to fix the glitch with.

If you are fixing the glitch with Pokemon Colloseum, Pokemon Box, or Pokemon Channel (all for Nintendo GameCube) then connect your GBA (containing the glitched cart) to the GC with a GBA/GCN link cable. Go to one of the pokemon uploading options and turn your GBA on. When the GC registers the GBA as being there it will automatically fix the berry glitch.

If you are fixing the glitch with Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen (due out September 2004) link one GBA with a Fr/Lg cartridge to another with your infected Ru/Sa cart. Ensure the RuSa GBA is not turned on. Turn on FrLg and at the title screen, press Select and B. Also ensure that the FrLg GBA has the player one end of the link cable (the purple end of an official cable). Then press A to confirm the action. When the RuSa GBA reaches the Game Boy screen, press Start and Select straight away. The FrLg cart will detect this and begin fixing the glitch.

It is also worth noting that some games stores (notably the US Target chain) will fix your cartridge for free. All you have to do is take in your GBA and hand it over to someone working there and they will fix it for you. Hope Umbreon comes to you soon!

I've tried to Colosseum thing and that didn't work. I only have one GBA so I can't trade (I only have sapphire and emerald). I'm so angry!!! Do you think using a gameshark might have effected the cartridge?

If it was misspelled or corrupted, yes the GS code MAY have affected the Clock.
    Which codes have you used?
And if you have a GS, you could use it to set the clock to night, and thereby get an Umbreon, or just use a Wildbattle Code for it :)

I didn't know there was a code to set to night. And I bread the eevee so it would know wish. I've used several wild pokemon modifier codes, PC mod, rare candy, and infinite cash. Where can I find the night code? (google ain't pullin' up squat!)

i don't know, you can't cheat on this side of the planet, but the clock variable is stored in the memory as everything else, and changing memory blocks is just what an AR/GS does.
I recommend googling on something with changing the clock, not set to night.
Or you could use the WB-code for it...

Actually, if there was no night/day function, you wouldn't have gotten espeon >_>
But yeah, like what everyone else said, it looks like the berry glitch. If you don't have two gameboys, do you have a friend that has one? You could always borrow it until you fix it...

ArmyGuy, you're an idiot. Otherwise why the hell would you get to set the clock? Seriously, I was thinking "WTFH?" when I read your post.

It says none because you can't get an Eevee and therefore can't get it without trading it over.

And always being day means absolutely squat. FR/LG can't evolve Espeon and Umbreon at all.

Of course you can get all of the Eevee-evos(except for Glaceon of Leafeon, 4th gen...) in R/S/E!
Just beacuse there "seems" to be always day, it doesn't mean there are!
If you only have 7h Play Time and Wierd Clock, i suggest restart.... How far are you?
It is a little harder to just Restart the Game when you have 250h play time and 173 in the Pokedex...

well i admit, i may have been wrong, but we don't have to resort to rude comments.

i just remember hearing somewhere that an Umbreon was not obtainable in those games. i have been proven wrong, obiviously and apologize for the inconvenence

Hmm. . .Try getting your Eevee to evolve when it says AM then, because I got an Espeon during a PM time(don't remember what time, I just know that it wasn't at AM)

    ~Night

If you have a FireRed/LeafGreen. Get one from there. :D
Since there's no time in Firered/Leafgreen, that won't work. I've tried. (and I was wondering why my level 40 Eevee wouldn't evolve o.o)
