Why is it that Gibite is under the class of uber while dragonite is left out in the cold?

Because dragonite has several counters and isn't nearly as super-powered and virtually unstoppable as the garchomp family...
If you want a serious in-depth answer, go to youtube and search for a garchomp-to-uber explanation by indeedvandal (name of youtube account).

go ahead and watch it actually, I don't have the game yet so I wouldn't be able to completely tell you

Honestly, what do you mean by "Dragonite is left in the dust". Wouldn't you rather have your favorite pokemon as a playable monster instead of an untouchable Uber?

IF you mean Gabite, that's like, UU, i think. :D. Dragonite kinda fails, to Stone Edge, and others, I think. ;D>

Well Dragonite has 3 weaknesses while Garchomp only has 2.
Still though Dragonite isn't left out in the dust its considered a Psuedo - legendary along with Tyranitar, Salamence, Metagross, and Garchomp. I think Garchomp is just considered the strongest of all the Pseudo - lengendaries.

Garchomp is a land shark. Therefore it utterly fails, so, once again, therefore Dragonite wins the a ridiculous win over the shark.

First off, it is spelled Gabite. Secondly, Gabite isn't, Garchomp is. :| And maybe Garchomp is stronger? :o Revelations are plaguing us.

Away from the sarcasm and corrections..

Garchomp has less weaknesses and better attacks. Garchomp could easily beat a Dragonite, and most other Pokemon. :| I basically answered right there.

Dragonite is one of my favorite pokemon he packs some serous power (not quite as much as garchomp) and he is the origanal dragon one of the most powerfull of the origanal 150.

Dragonite's always been cursed with a great type but neither the Speed nor the enormous attacking stats that its pseudo-legendary brethren have. It doesn't help that Game Freak fixed their mistake in the worst way possible; instead of giving Dragonite Intimidate and calling it a day, they make Salamence and give Dragonite Inner Focus. This makes Dragonite inferior to Salamence in so many ways that people have to actually say stuff like "This is something Dragonite has, but Salamence doesn't have, SO EPIC AND SPECIAL LOOOOOK". It's disappointing because Dragonite is so cool, but at the same time, I can't hate Salamence for it, because he's just as cool, lmao.

Dragonite just lacks the punch that Salamence has. :|

As I understand it it's because of Garchomp's HP, attack, and speed.

Garcomp's HP allows it to send out substitutes that are much bulkier than your average sweeper, to the point that It can reach the seismic toss-immune status of 101 HP for each. This allows it to always get at least one swords dance in, which sends it's attack into the stratosphere, and since it has such good speed it can quickly sweep unless drastic measures are taken. Only the uber tier has both the sweepers and walls to stand up to Garchomp on a consistent basis.

Yuck, I can't stand them both, but I'll have to go with Garchomp because it has less weaknesses

Garchomp is stronger and I prefer him but am a little attached to dragonite.

I pick dragonite, I dont really like garchomp

fThis thread was probably the biggest debate for Garchomp's status on PC. Eh, if I recall correctly, to put it short: great offenses at 130 attack, bulkiness, speed that can barely outspeed all base 100s, great coverage (no pokemon resists the standard Outrage / Earthquake / Fire Fang or Blast, two of which have STAB and abuses the 130 attack stat), lack of counters, and overcentralization. That, apparently, was enough to make it uber.
