DotW stands for Discussion of the Week. Each week I thought that we could discuss one part of Pokémon GSC or Pokémon RBGY in detail. This week's discussion is the ominous, but important Burned Tower.

    [PokeCommunity.com] DotW: Burned Tower

"The charred, crumbling ruins of the Burned Tower can be found in the city's northwest district. Formerly known as the Brass Tower, it was once as majestic as the Tin Tower to the east. Built 700 years ago, it was said to be the roost of an immense, silver-colored Pokémon. But 150 years ago, the tower was struck by a lightning bolt that ignited a fire that raged for three days. The silver Pokémon and the glorious, rainbow-colored Pokémon that roosted on Tin Tower escaped to the skies unharmed, and a sudden downpour quenched the fire. The silver Pokémon flew off, while the rainbow Pokémon resurrected three nameless Pokémon that perished in the blaze before flying off as well."

Pokemon available in the Tower: Rattata, Koffing, Zubat, Raticate, Magmar

The tower is the former home of Lugia and the birthplace of the Legendary Dogs. What are your thoughts on the tower, how did you react in seeing these 3 beasts? Did you catch any Pokemon while in the Tower? The Burned Tower has more significance than we think, the tower explains the story of the Three Legendary Dogs. After the tower was burned down, three Pokemon were killed. Ho-Oh resurrected them and made them into Legendary Pokemon. What Pokemon do you think these were, do you think they were of three different types? To me, the tower indicates resurrection. What does it mean to you? Let's discuss it here.

Hm… these Pokémon are most likely Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon. I know they are cats and not dogs, but they're being resurrected, so pretty much anything could happen.

Actually it's debatable what the Eeveelutions and the Beast trio are...both groups have aspects of cats and dogs (and foxes for the eeveelutions). I agree the Kanto eeveelutions were probably the ones who burnt down. Wait, how did Flareon die? It's a fire type...rubble?

What are your thoughts on the tower, how did you react in seeing these 3 beasts? - "whoa. neat."

Did you catch any Pokemon while in the Tower? - Magmar. Such awesome.

What Pokemon do you think these were, do you think they were of three different types? - Eeveelutions, as has been stated. They are deceased Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon. There's a lot that hints to this in the game. The kimono girls holding on to Eeveelutions, the sages in Crystal having the three eeveelutions and then a bird, the sprites' colors, etc.. To me, the tower indicates resurrection. What does it mean to you? - Resurrection.

Kinda unrelated but still related. I think the legendary birds were reincarnated Fearow by Lugia. Since Lugia seems to be the king of the birds in the movie, and the legendary birds all have traits of Fearow. And there's some other stuff but I can't remember.
