In a shoddy battle the opponent's arcanine used flare blitz, cutting my umbreon's health by 31% or so. I used wish, it failed (???) and then my wish (from last turn) came true.

Neither on Bulbapedia nor *link removed* does it say anything about wish failing if used consecutively. But that's the reason the people on the server said it failed, because you can't use it multiple times in a row in the same way as protect.

Does wish actually do that or is Shoddy just being shoddy? If wish actually does do that where is there a moves DB that has accurate information?

If you already used Wish. You can't use another Wish.

Mainly because the first Wish attack isn't completed yet. You can't you one while the other one is in progress. If that was possible. The game possibly would change.

If you use Wish when there is already a Wish charging up, then the 2nd Wish will fail.

It cannot be used two times in a row.

    The strategy with wish is:

    1st Turn - Wish
2nd Turn - Some other Attack
    3rd Turn - Wish

Any move directory which is clearer on that type of thing?

Wish can't be used when the Wish from the previous turn has not been completed

EDIT: to make it more easier to understand. Wish can be used only every two turns

Well I understand that now. But I didn't understand that when I read the description of wish on the sites mentioned above. Do you know any other sites that explain it better?

Erm...if you already understand how it works, why would you need a site with an explanation anymore? x.O

Anyways, this looks more like "Simple questions" material, to be honest.

Really, wish is used mostly for passing healing to other members of your team anyways, so I doubt you need consecutive wishes anyways.

Just in case that discouraged you to use it.
