Yesterday I was catching ditto using that common electric squirrel thing. I'd use discharge and the ditto would be between 1/4th and 1 hp. Then I'd catch them in a quick ball. It worked like a charm.

Now I'm using a pinsir with false swipe and the dittos won't stay in their damn balls. Does transform copy the catch rate or something? What false swiper would make catching ditto the easiest?

EDIT: Looks like Krabby is the pokemon with the highest catch rate that can learn false swipe via TM.

Yeah, when you go try to catch a Ditto, if you send out a legendary first, it will be just as hard as to catch that legendary you sent out. So it's always good to send a Pidgey or Caterpie first. xD

As far as I know, the Ditto takes the catch rate along with the copy of the pokemon. The best way to get a ditto easy is having a Magikarp with you and use it when it is about to use Transform.

Now I can exploit this though, if I use Krabby as my false swiper I'll be able to catch them pretty easily in pokeballs. Also I can make Krabby unlearn everything but false swipe, so the ditto will never be able to kill me no matter how lucky it gets.

You could just send a Caterpie out first, String Shot, then let it transform, switch to Pinsir and False Swipe.

    :D Or a Magikarp :D
one move: Splash... ditto wont eva harm you again :D
unless its like the B Button League from the anime =]
