Does the national pokedex from xy transfer to ORAS?

    Hi guys,

Sorry for another noob question but the support I got on my first post shows that you may not take my head off. Cool community you guys have here.

    So as the question says.

    1) I just finished Pokemon X and I got Alpha Sapphire on the way. I know Pokebank transfers Pokemon, but does that go for my Pokedex and evolution records too? For example, I evolve my Bulbasaur to Ivysaur to Venusaur on Pokemon X... I now only have a Venusaur (with all three counted as obtained). So will the national Pokedex on AS register ALL THREE as I have on X, or only register Venusaur as caught?

    2) Do I have to complete the AS game to get the National Pokedex again? Or will this be given to me from the beginning as I already have it from Pokemon X?

    3) I've heard it's a one way transfer... so after using Pokebank to transfer from X to AS, will my X file get deleted? If not, how does the game change if I ever go back to play X again? (maybe to find some things/Pokemon I missed?)

    4) Any advice on post game Pokemon X? I'm basically experimenting with breeding and Battle Chateau as well as general grinding and leveling up.

Many thanks in advance. Much love!

Pokémon Bank is a storage facility. You can freely move your Pokemon back and forth between all currently released 3DS games (items are automatically put back in your bag to stop you trying to bring items from one game to another where they don't exist), but you won't automatically get the National Dex in your AS game.
It'll silently record any National Pokedex Pokemon your transfer to AS (only that Pokemon) and they'll appear in your National Dex once you get it later in the game.

Thanks for the reply. So the new National Pokedex I'll get in AS WON'T keep track of the PAST evolution progress that I've made in previous games? It will only register the Pokemon in their current forms?? So for a fuller pokedex in AS, I'd need to get their starting forms AGAIN in XY and evolve all over again in AS?

Yep think of it as a completely new game, if you move pokemon via bank its only as though youd moved that ONE pokemon.

This is why I keep a living Pokedex in my bank for transferring full evolutionary lines.

The easiest way is to breed the final forms once they're on AS then evolve any babies with 3 evolutionary stages up to their 2nd stage. That way you don't have to reobtain them or evolve them all to their 3rd stage because you have those already.
