I do definatley. Although some pokemon such as wartortle or quilava. I wait before evolving them so they can learn moves such as, Hydro Pump and Flame thrower. Charmeleon I can evolve on time because it learns flamethrower before it evolves.

But I evolve my pokemon to the second stage then wait. Because early stage are kind of weak. But a second stage is a bit stronger. Plus the wait for the move isnt that bad.

Like, I keep my wartortle until level 53 so it learns hydro pump. I never evolve my larvitar until it learns hyper beam. Then after hyper beam, I let it evolve into pupitar. Then a couple more for tyranitar.

Like you said, it basically depends on the Poke. Larvitar I will not evolve until it learns Crunch, since it learns it at Lv43, while Pupitar learns it at Lv47. Personally though, I don't bother with the high power/low accuracy or two-turn moves since there are always better moves to use instead.

It depends on the Pokémon really...

I usually evolve most Pokémon instantly, but sometimes I let Pokémon learn a move before I let them evolve. Like Doduo and Marshtomp for example. I don't want to train them 10 extra levels so they can learn Earthquake and Drill Peck just because the evolved forms are stronger.

Agreed on the subject of moves. For some Pokemon (such as Shroomish, who doesn't learn Spore until much later while Breloom doesn't learn it at all), I'll wait around. For others (such as Ralts/Kirlia into Gardevoir), I'll let them evolve at the appropriate level without really waiting.

Yes and no. I usually let them evolve at the proper level, but sometimes if I like the pre-evolution I'll keep it at that state. Some pokemon I usually keep in pre-evo stage are Cyndaquil and Abra.
