Do you ever use repeat balls?

I was watching a walkthrough online and the guy made a funny comment when he received some repeat balls "Why would you catch a pokemon you've already caught". I thought that was a good point so I'm curious if anyone here has used some RB for any pokemon?

No, I never saw a reason to use Repeat Balls, haha. I only ever catch a Pokemon once.

I agree with the walkthrough guy. Why catch another if you already have one? I guess it could come in handy if you run into a shiny Pokemon of a species you already have. Or if you're trying to catch a certain Pokemon with a certain nature, so you are already having to catch multiples anyway. They have their reasons, but considering there are other balls that outclass them and have a more broad range of use, they're null and void.

I used it for the first time on Lugia in my SoulSilver game. Had 2 traded over before I met him, took a few but not a problem with it.

I think I used it once in Emerald so I could breed. That's just about it haha

Apart from a breeding reason like Sydian said, I don't think I've ever used them. And maybe not even in such a case because I'd just use an ultra ball.

Them Dittos man. Them Dittos. During my pre-RNG phase, it was a pain to find adequate Ditto for breeding.

I had a streak for catching Jigglypuff and then trading them on the GTS for other Jigglypuff to have a diverse collection of Jigglypuff.

Also, once in a blue moon, someone wants a version exclusive in a trade, so yeah.

never actually used repeat balls in the game so if I get a repeat ball it will collect dust in my item bag.

repeat balls are usefull when you want a good nature or breeding but normally I just use Ultra Balls

Only if I am mass chaining Pokemon and catching them as well I guess I *might* see a use for them... but matter of fact having done that before this is something I have not done, tbh. I just go for other types of Poke Balls.

I use them now because I have finished the Pokedex, which means every Pokemon gets the bonus from it.

I never saw the point since I never wanted to catch another of the same species. Ultra Balls are always useful anyway.

Sometimes I use Repeat Balls when I'm catching multiples of the same Pokemon (to increase the chances of me getting a Pokemon with good IVs).

I never use Repeat Balls. Sydian made an excellent point---why use them when the Ultra Ball is more effective?

I never really find the need to catch another of a Pokemon I already caught. The only time I do that is if I need to breed, but even then I use a ditto sometimes. Repeat Balls, Fast Balls, Timer Balls, Love Balls, etc...I never use them. The only kind of Pokeball I ever use is a regular, ol' Pokeball. Great Balls and Ultra Balls are out of the question...

The only time I use repeat balls is when I am recatching Pokemon that I want to be in my box because I want to get all of the Pokemon inside of my box.

I never use any other balls than ordinary PokéBalls. The other balls just stay in the bag :P

I bought x99 when I was rich (thinking that they'd be useful, stupidly) and I think I've only ever used a few, and even then that's when I ran out of other balls.
