[Scripting Question] different colors for male and female player characters

    Hello PokéCommunity,
    I'm sitting here with a little problem.
    I'm using rpg maker xp with pokemon essentials v18.1.
    I want the text to be different for male and female, so blue for male and red for female.
    in the essentials docs it says \pg, but if I do that the text just becomes the default black.
    how do I fix this?
     
    some extra information it is only 1 sentence just after I chose my gender and the script maybe it is just that
     
    I already fixed it, because it was only one sentence for that one sentance I did \b for male and \r for female
