Did you celebrate Easter?

Hi guys, I was wondering how many folks here observed Easter? I took my dog to a dog park that was having an Easter egg hunt in the days before. I also ordered some strawberry ganache chocolate bunnies that I ate and gave to loved ones. I went to church yesterday on Easter Sunday. At home lit candles, saw to it that the house was filled with fresh flowers and fruit straight from our garden, received the unexpected surprise of a fluffy, battery-powered hopping toy bunny from mum, I cooked a hardy dinner and different family members visited, and we just chilled watching holiday movies. Also have been enjoying organizing and playing around here at pc for our own little event Easter Parade.

What about you?

Weirdly, no. My family was out of state so I was alone this year.

For no particular reason I went driving aimlessly on my own without much idea of where I was going. I stopped for a soda. The store was quite devoid of people.

All things considered it was not a 'bad' day.

I don't celebrate any major holidays, so no. But it's really nice to hear you had a good day with your family Milotic! ^^

Not really, no. My family made some ham yesterday because they always had it on Easter growing up, but none of us are Christian so we didn't really do anything else. If they didn't remind me, I probably would have forgotten about Easter entirely.

I celebrated 420 and had an edible instead. 😂 My family had ham sandwhiches for Easter dinner, but besides that I didn't celebrate any other way. I haven't attended Easter church service in years.

Apart from my school's egg hunt event, nada. Japan doesn't do shit for Easter, which saved me the heartache of eating too much chocolate. Conversely, a traditional Easter dinner would be lovely to have!

Not really? We didn't do anything specific. We had a family dinner, though it was more like it was just an excuse to get some of the family together. I went just to see their cats and have a plate of food, and me and my bf dipped out after only about an hour. I stole a lemon cupcake though, and that was pleasant.
Easter isn't a holiday we often do something big for, I've never really considered it as having any significance in my life besides things like seasonal decorations, chocolate, and the coming of spring. I had kind of forgotten about it until bf got the Friday off work.
We did each get a gift basket though, and that was really nice.

Speaking of the coming of Spring, I love the season and it's been really wonderful to see our weather finally warm up and be able to go outside comfortably regularly. I'd actually be out on our porch laying down in the sun if it weren't for the fact it's raining pretty hard right now. It's such a pleasant change of pace from the cold, and the way all of that makes me feel emotionally.

I was kind of expected to go to church with my family. I was raised Catholic, but I don't really consider myself religious anymore. Aside from that, we went to my grandma's house and she made lots of food, as she does for holidays. My sisters made carrot cake the day before and we brought that.

Yeah, Easter and most religious festivities are strong here, and add traditions and stuff. It usually starts from Holy thursday when they do things at church, on Friday there are different celebrations per city/region/whatever, and then Sunday there's Easter, and, usually, a big lunch.
