Did Ash ever found out Sammy became Prof. Oak?

According to the Celebi movie, Prof. Oak met with Ash Ketchum in his own childhood, when he traveled 40 years ahead in time. But after everything went normal, prof. only pondered about it, and never told ash that he himself is sammy. Even Ash and his friends just got surprised that prof. knows "sammy" name. Howcome they didn't questioned him! lol...

Pokemon movies are made so they can be skipped without any confusion in the anime's plot so he probably wouldn't have ever found out unless it were included in the next Johto movie, which obviously didn't happen. >: I personally liked how the Celebi movie ended without them finding out.

I'm pretty sure Ash did not. There was one scene, I think in the Japanese version, where Professor Oak's call is ended since Ash had to catch the ferry and he leans back in his chair and says something along the lines of, "I should have told him." Close to that.

It was referenced that Ash did not find out, but I think Tracey might have since he found Professor Oak's sketchbook. That's just my thought though.

I'm pretty sure they referenced the Orange Islands Lugia, and they certainly referenced the events of Movie 10 with the Lunar Wing in the Darkrai arc.
