After knocking out Deoxys several times, I finally took a break and went to town after I did a soft reset. Bought a Dusk Ball to catch Rayquaza in, and boxed several Pokémon so I wouldn't get prompted to bank a party member any longer. Went back and fought Rayquaza again, and got it in a Dusk Ball (yay), then dug in for yet another long fight with Deoxys. I was totally prepared for the long haul this time, as I didn't want to faint it, nor did I want to get a lvl 100 taunt/false swiper at all. Attacked it with one Extreme Speed from Rayquaza and then tossed a Pokeball at Deoxys to kill a turn and not attack.... yep... after 5 resets due to fainting, freaking caught it in a Pokeball! LMAO!

Anyone else want to strangle that alien? Too bad I think my second Rayquaza had Adamant, but glad to have both caught finally.

Here's a tip from Bulbapedia if you accidentally faints a Deoxys

Edge of space (immediately after capturing Rayquaza and battling Zinnia at Sky Pillar in the Delta Episode)
Sky Pillar (if not caught previously, respawns here the next time the player enters the Hall of Fame)

I can't post the link but you can check the validity of this info from Bulbapedia.

Yeah, if you knock out Deoxys, it comes back on the top of the sky pillar. In gen 6, legendaries don't disappear anymore if you beat them.

I didn't catch it yet since I already have some from events. Too bad it's shiny locked though, otherwise I'd try to soft reset for one.

Fortunately gen 6. legendaries come back if you accidentally K.O. them.

But the battle with Deoxys is so amazing and climactic you wanna catch it in space!

I used my master ball on the damn thing.

I had no idea that they didn't disappear if you fainted them. That's really annoying to find out now because I forced myself to use my Master Ball on Deoxys.

Yep, just head back up there. I personally didn't have any difficultys though. for me it was:
    Start battle
    Throw Ultra ball
    Catch rayquaza
    Start battle
    Throw ultra ball
    caught deoxys

They are easy enough to capture, you need not worry about weakening them.

3 percent capture rate on Deoxys though. Not sure what Ultra Ball brings it up to.

Yeah, I read the Bulbapedia entry that I could go back later, but I have no idea when the next time I challenge the Pokemon League will be. I am working on PokeNav shiny hunting and completing the Pokedex currently.

If I was really dedicated to getting the two catches done right, I probably should have taken my Adamant Ralts with me to at least catch a decent Rayquaza :/

Well, there are trainers who want to soft reset first before catching a legendary Pok?mon
just to get the desired IV and Nature. And it's difficult to do that when you try to catch
Reyquaza and Deoxys in a raw and do the soft reset.

Ability Synchronize won't work since right after you catch Reyquaza, whichever Pok?mon
you set first in the party will be replaced by Reyquaza. If you tried to max out your party,
it will forcely ask you to choose a Pok?mon to send in your inbox and Reyquaza replace it
being at the first slot of the party.

Well of course, but getting 2 perfect/shiny legendaries in a row is near impossible. You might as well just buy both games and do one at a time.

I knew about Deoxys respawning after beating the Elite 4 the second time beforehand, so I just KOed it, rebattled the Elite 4, and returned to the Sky Pillar so I could soft reset for one with good IVs.

Obtaining a legit shiny Deoxys is impossible through normal means of catching it for ORAS

Deoxys from Birth Island can be shiny. All others can never be shiny because the events were shiny locked. However its situation is much like Shiny Mew and all shiny Deoxys are pretty much hacks. Please read the explanation at the bottom of the page for more in depth information.

Anyway, not everyone is lucky enough to catch a legendary for few tries. But atleast we can find ways
how to catch it 100% and discuss this informatively for everyone.

You can still catch a Legit Shiny mew, you just have to go and buy a Japanese RSE Game that has the mew Island event on it, (Though this is extremely unlikely to happen, as most Eternal Batteries are probably dead now) And then Soft Reset the Hell out of it until you find it (And if you do, please catch it in a Dive Ball)
