I searched google for this answer. I went on google and search for a way to level up pokemon easy. I heard that put your pokemon in the day care center and leave your ds on all day and night. Then go back and check on your pokemon it should be level up. Is this true. Has anyone tried it. But won't the stats change. It will be less. Well um let me know. Thanks.

Pokémon gain EXP in the Day Care as you walk (1 step = 1 XP), so you can't just leave your DS running. It's very similar to why you can't just leave your DS on and have an egg hatch without doing anything.

Plus, by leaving your Pokémon in the day care, any important (egg/TM) moves you have on them can be overridden and then there's virtually no way of getting them back.

nope thats not true. how the day care level up works is how many steps your character takes. for every step im pretty sure its one exp. point to the pokemon in the day care

Equip said Pokémon with an Exp. Share or Lucky Egg and use them in battle, and they will gain experience twice as fast. Alternatively, trade them over to another game and level them up there, as their experience will be boosted.

Also, if you use the Daycare Centre, your Pokémon don't gain EV's. Even if you don't specifically EV-train, your naturally-trained Pokémon will pick up EV's here and there throughout the game (like battling fishermen with a lot of Magikarp) and thus Daycare Pokémon will be weaker in comparison.

I believe I know what you're talking about, I think. There is an unnamed method in which you can leave your DS on, have a Pokémon in the Day Care and let it earn experience points to grow more levels. However, you can't just leave your DS alone, you have to use your bike and have it moving back and forth on the mudslides. By this, you'd have to have something (like a pencil) holding down the "up" button on the control pad while you have your DS on. Going back on this though, I don't believe HG/SS has any mudslides to ride through quickly for this method to work. Only RSE and DPPt had them. So, no this won't work for you unless you're playing it though the latter mentioned games.

Going by what was already said above, you would just have to keep playing the game while moving for your Pokémon to grow levels in the Day Care. All that said, for anymore questions please use the HG/SS Help Thread.
