    Daemon is a completely brand new game made from scratch on the Unity Game Engine !

    The game started two months ago and I've made tremendous progress !

    Heavily inspired by Pokémon B/W because of the sprite animations and story !

    The game focuses on the Fujian Region, with many Asian themes apparent throughout the game.



    WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF DAEMON


    In the lush region of Fujian, where Daemon and humans thrive in harmony, a legendary evil Daemon know once threatened to plunge the land into darkness. However, centuries ago, a legendary hero, aided by their party of loyal Daemon, managed to seal away the evil Daemon and restore peace to Fujian. Now, as the region flourishes, a new threat emerges.

    The evil and powerful Daemon, was said to possess the ability to control the minds of other Daemon, bending them to its will.

    A radical group known as Umbra with the belief that Daemon should be free from human control and live as they did in ancient times, wild and untamed. Led by a charismatic leader named Eclipse, they seek to unseal the legendary evil Daemon and harness its power to liberate Daemon from human influence.

    To unseal the legendary Daemon , Umbra searches for ancient relics scattered across Fujian, each holding a fragment of the legendary Daemon's power. The protagonist must race against the Eclipse Sect to find and safeguard these relics before they can be used for nefarious purposes.

    Okay, I'll be honest. This looks amazing so far! I'm so excited to see where this goes. The animations look incredible, and I love the idea of a relationship system. Multiplayer sounds so intriguing as well! I am a little confused though, earlier in the post you mentioned Pokemon. Was that a mistake, or are there both Pokemon and Daemons, and we'll be focusing on Daemons in our journey?

    Was a typo ! Daemons ! Standalone game that has nothing to do with Pokémon, only inspiration from the Pokémon game :P

    The animation is definitely the selling point ! The gen 5 animations were nice, I wanted to take it up a notch in my game.
    Relationship came from me playing persona. It would also be an improvement on the phonebook system from GSC.
    Multiplayer will allow one player to journey with you in the game :P
     
    @luckorskills Do you have experience with Unity if so then I know a project where some need help. the question is if you would like to help there?
    I have 10 years of experience using Unity :P
    But I'm currently flooded with this project right now. Spending lots of time on both the art and coding portion , so I really can't take out anymore time for other projects

    Dynamic Day Night System has been added :P
    Along with a mini rain weather system that will trigger every once in a while :P

    The Day Night System plays an important role because it allows certain Daemons to appear !
    Certain events and quests can only be completed within a certain time frame too !

Do you plan to make the monsters stand around and uses special sprite animations for when they attack like how Dive or Fly turns the Pokemon into some blue blurring blob? I would understand since that probably saves time and resources.

    Most of the moves will have some generic animation, since like you said, creating a special one for each would be costly. However, all the monsters will have their own unique handdrawn idle animation in game :P
    Pokemon BW split their sprites into pieces and rotated it for animation, but I plan on doing it by frame
