I'm looking for a walk-through of the Pokémon Platinum version of the game. Here are a few features I would like outlined in the guide:

    - Complete walk-through that guides you through the story
    - All items/pokémon that can be obtained through NPC's throughout your adventure
    - Maps of towns would be a nice visual bonus
    - Locations of all items (visual pokéballs)
    - Locations of all hidden items
    - Information about available pokémon found in current grassy areas (and fishing)

So far Platinum has had it's slight differences but is very similar to Diamond and Pearl. It would be awesome if the guide covered all 3 games in a single guide. Does anything like this exist?

On the internet you can find some very good free guides for any game, esp. Pokemon games, though they don't have maps. You can always get the $20 game guide for platinum, but I forget if it points out hidden items.

I'm looking for something similar to the Nintendo Power game guides, but perhaps a little more elaborate and is Online.

For free? Sorry, you're not going to find that elaborate of a guide for free.

    The bathroom is right there.
    /points towards some random tree

Actually, if you don't feel like handing out the money for the official game guide, there's some unofficial ones floating around. That said, they're not free either. (I saw one for around $5.) There's likely some FAQs or walkthroughs that could provide some core information of what you're asking, but they likely don't go nearly as in depth as you'd like.

    For free,
yup i know just the place
    head down to
    IGN.com
click on ds and serch for pokemon diamond
click it and click on walkthroughs
or you can siply click this link XD

and add to rep if this helped:)

That's a fairly good guide I'm already aware of. The problem with that is that its just another "GameFAQ" style guide. All TEXT. Somebody should really make something that covers the game more in-depth like some of the pay-for guides.

If they did that, they'd just be wasting time. You're relying too heavily on the generosity of man. If someone can make money off of something, they will.

Well you can allways buy the guide for $20 at eb games
or you can googlw around until you find scans of the
    game guide
    or you can try seribii(dot)net

The best guide, that is an actual 'book', is Prima's Guide, which is one of its largest guides ever made, if I recall correctly.
However, you could just use PC's FAQ, Serebii.net's Platinum Section, or Gamefaqs.com.
But, yes, Prima's guide is useful on the go.

    So, there you go.

    Close~
