3rd Gen Competitive Battle Berries?

    Ok for competitive battling i've been seeing lots of berries that are used as hold items to boost attack/speed/defense or whatever when you get below 25% health, like Salac berry. also things like Lum berry which heal status conditions. where would you get those in Emerald? Thanks.
     
    I believe the Salac, etc berries can only be obtained through the Jirachi disk download or exchanged by coupons in Colosseum/XD.

    Liechi can be found on Mirage Island, which is very rare to see. Everyday, go to Pacifidlog Town and ask the man in the southeastern hut if he can see the island for the day. If it has appeared, it will be on Route 130. The chance of seeing it is like winning the ID lottery and you can increase your chance by showing him many pokemon every the day.

    Lum berries may be given from a man in the middle of Lilycove City. It's also rumored that you find them from the Pickup ability or Berry Master's wife.

    Basically, those berries are hard to obtain without cheats in this gen. If you can, I suggest trading for them in D/P.
     
    Lum Berry can be found on plants and from the Berry Master, I think.
    The Liechi berry which raises Attack is on Mirage Island (good luck getting that, I haven't even seen it once).
    Ganlon, Petaya, Apicot and Salac berries can only be obtained on Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness for the Gamecube. If you get XD, don't buy the Salac Berry, as it can be obtained by winning one of the Battle CDs.

    EDIT: Forgot about Jirachi; you'll get a rare berry with that if you get one.
    EDIT2: You don't get berries with Pickup...

    Actually, Lum Berries can be found via Itemfinder in FRLG (by my experience; near Indigo Plateau and between Saffron and Lavender). If you see a dark mark in the ground, there's a berry there.
