So I'm gonna challenge the Prism league again, buuuut I can't really decide on a team. Then I saw another successful community team thread, and thought - hey. It might be fun to do that for this. So let's build a team -

    [PokeCommunity.com] Community Challenge team

Whomever feels like adding on; one poke per person - and for this specifically, rule of thumb being it can't be something above the OU tier, annnnd nothing that can't be bred - since I will have to make multiples of these (ie; no legends. Nothing against them; but I can't breed them.)

I WILL. Use this team to challenge the 3DS league too. :I So this could be very masochistic.

    Team so far:

    Bisharp (from Algea-Derick)

i would be more than happy to have a say in this thread

hello polar i want to add this to your thread but seeing as how inexperienced i am if it does not meet standards please ignore XD

    Bisharp

    Nature: Jolly/ Adamant
    Ability: Defiant
    Item: Muscel Band
    EV'S: 252 ATT, 252 SPEED

    Moves: Swords Dance
    Psycho Cut
    Sucker Punch
    Iron Head

    Oh phew - thank arceus

The first one is actually something really good xD I wouldn't have been surprised to see Luvdisc or Ledian pop up first. I WOULDA GONE WITH THEM THOUGH.

Thanks tho - Algea Derick. I'll begin reworking a Bisharp to be built as such for the challenge. I'll try and keep the OP up to date with all the things people throw together for this. And of course; once it's got 6 pokes.... expect battle videos of what will hopefully be quite hilarious / entertaining.

use either black glasses or life orb on bisharp, muscle band sucks :< also replace psycho cut with knock off, utility + stab too good to pass up. swords dance is a fine option but it is replaceable with pursuit if your team turns out to be lati weak or something.

try something that resists fighting and fire. slowbro (or even mega bro after oras is released) fits imo and it eats up earthquakes from random **** p well too.

    Bisharp

    Nature: Jolly/ Adamant
    Ability: Defiant
    Item: Muscel Band
    EV'S: 252 ATT, 252 SPEED

    Moves: Swords Dance
    Psycho Cut
    Sucker Punch
    Iron Head
Though Bisharp is horribly weak to Fighting, it shouldn't rely on Psycho Cut to deal with them, as Iron Head hits them hard enough already. Muscle Band is outclassed by Life Orb (for better all-round move power-ups) or Black Glasses/Dread Plate, as Bisharp typically runs both Sucker Punch and Knock Off (and sometimes Pursuit). Also, the boost from Muscle Band is just too small:
    -Sucker Punch
    -Iron Head
    -Knock Off
    -Pursuit/Swords Dance
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Black Glasses/Dread Plate
    Ability: Defiant

Anyway, Mega Medicham pairs well with Bisharp because it deals with the Fighting Pokemon it's weak to:
    -High Jump Kick/Drain Punch
    -Zen Headbutt
    -Ice Punch/Baton Pass
    -Substitute
    Nature: Jolly/Adamant
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Medichamite
    Ability: Pure Power

    or
    -High Jump Kick
    -Zen Headbutt
    -Fake Out
    -Ice Punch/Bullet Punch
    Nature: Jolly/Adamant
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Medichamite
    Ability: Pure Power

Come OR/AS, Mega Gallade is the better option, due to its better Speed, bulk and versatility:
    -Swords Dance
    -Close Combat
    -Zen Headbutt/Ice Punch
-Knock Off/Ice Punch/Will-o-Wisp/Taunt/Destiny Bond/Shadow Sneak (man, this thing's move pool is so massive)
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Galladite

    or
    -Substitute
    -Swords Dance/Bulk Up
    -Drain Punch
    -Knock Off/Zen Headbutt/Ice Punch
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Galladite

    or
    -Close Combat
    -Zen Headbutt/Ice Punch
    -Knock Off/Ice Punch
    -Taunt/Will-o-Wisp/Destiny Bond
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Galladite

    recommending this set for slowbro:

    [PokeCommunity.com] Community Challenge team

    Slowbro @ Leftovers
    Ability: Regenerator
    EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SpD
    Bold Nature
    -Scald
    -Psyshock
    -Thunder Wave or Toxic
    -Slack Off

i like smogon's set because with this, you reliably beat keldeo as well, even after stealth rock damage. oh, without psyshock you won't do **** to av conkeldurr. twave or toxic is up to personal preference.

edit: seconding platinum's recommendation for mega gallade, especially the sub swords dance set. that thing is legit, sets up on dumb stuff like twave ferro, also blocks burns and other status conditions, i use close combat over drain punch tho. srsly you might want to consider mega gallade simply because it does better than mega medicham after a swords dance which isn't that hard to set up with mega gallade's solid natural bulk.

also sorry for making so many posts, just rly bored rn :p

^ S'cool, I'm really looking forward to mega Gallade. It's been one of my favorites from that whole gen along with Mismagius for a while now. Can't wait to try it out - and I already have 2 gallades both jolly and adamant for when ORAS hits. I'll stick with Medicham for now then though :V Eeee only 11 days

    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

    - Volt Switch
    - Overheat
    - Hidden Power [Grass]

I suppose I should contribute to this too. Team needs a Ground resist/immunity now, sooooooo.....let's put in a Hydreigon.

    -Hydreigon w/Life Orb
    Nature: Timid
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 252 Sp.Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Moves: Draco Meteor/Dragon Pulse, Fire Blast, Dark Pulse, Flash Cannon/Earth Power

Sure, it adds another Fighting weakness to the team, but ya need more Ghost and Dark resists with Slowbro and Mega Medicham/Gallade on the team. Those two can tank Fighting hits anyway.
