If you have 2 game cards (I have Pokemon Diamond & Pokemon Pearl) and you deposit a certain Pokemon of yours into the GTS on one of your games, can you search for that Pokemon on your other game, find it, & trade for it? I have attempted to do so, but I never found the Pokemon that I deposited on my other game.

I think it takes a while for it to be put onto the database. I'm afraid you gotta wait. If, of course, your friend has a DS, you could borrow theirs and trade via union room. Much easier!

yes you could but it would be hard to find the pokemon but i did it but like the guy said before me its just better to brrow someone ds and trading them or find some one on this sight who will hold your pokemon for u (But that could be very risky) Sorry but it is very hard

Were you using the same connection? I searched for Pokemon like the one I had deposited on both games, but both said none were found.

I was playing the one were i wanted the pokemon to go i put up a LV 1 wurple for what ever i wanted and then and then i would offer that pokemon for the Lv 1 wurple and it should auto maticly trade glade i could help

Are you trying to evolve things, or did you want to get them to another card to start your game over? Because if you just need them evolved via trading, the easiest way is to just put the pokemon you want to evolve into the GTS and ask for something no one will give or have. Then go iand look for trades in the GTS, and complete a separate trade. Go back to get your pokemon out and it'll evolve like it was traded.

I think it would be easier for everyone involved if you just got access to another DS for a half hour.

IM lucky with trading and stuff

both my sister have Ds and i just borrow there's when i wanna trade its quick and simple but can i say something i reckon there should be a Pc in the trading room because i always wanna trade like 40 pokemon at once and i have to go in and out it can get so annoyiing and if there is one in there ive totaly missed it

I called Nintendo on this, and they said no, you can NOT trade to yourself on the same DS machine over the GTS. Part of your pal code is the MAC address of your DS, and it will not let you trade with yourself on the same DS. You would have to have a second DS, and if you did, you wouldn't use the GTS to trade.

Well, that is not true (unless they were talking about the same DS cartridge), because I did it myself.

That certainly is not true, like KougaWolf said. I've actually run a test myself. I put in a Geodude, and asked for an Onix on my Pearl Version. Then, I put in my Diamond Version and traded it after I found it. Are you using two of the same Versions of the game? Because maybe you can only do that with two different versions.

I tried it between my diamond and my pearl... when it didn't work after 20 minutes, finding only one pokemon matching my request and it wasn't mine, I called Nintendo and they told me that you couldn't trade from your diamond to your pearl using GTS and the SAME DS. If that is not true then great, but that is the info I got from Nintendo directly.
