[Sword & Shield] Can WILD Pokemon with the "Run Away" escape from a battle?

I've been shiny hunting and using false swipe a lot recently, and I've been wondering about this. I've never seen a Pokemon do it, but it keeps worrying me. I'm pretty sure they can't, but confirmation would make me feel better lol. (Currently in battle with shiny Nickit and stressing T_T)

Congratulations on the shiny.
No, pokemon can not run away, even if they do have the Run Away ability with rare exceptions like roaming pokemon, safari pokemon and random pokemon from Gold, Silver and Crystal.
