Can someone give me Hex Maniac Advice

So I'm using Hex Maniac Advance since I heard it's the best option for ROM hacking and is easy to use. For the most part I've figured some things out by reviewing the wiki and asking the Discord but I still have many questions that I can't find exact answers to on the wiki or any YouTube guides. I've tried these questions on the Discord and either get ignored or given information that just doesn't seem to work or fix my issue, mostly told to consult the wiki again though.

If anyone knows about HMA and is willing to help a rom hacking newbie I'll just ask my three most important questions, if anyone is willing to send me a dm and offer some more help learning to use this program I'd be extremely appreciative!

1. How do I create my own map separate from everything? I've tried finding a button or just duplicating a map and repointing things but once I change the header or music it changes the original location as well!

2. Is it possible to import custom tile sets without needing to make my own and where is the best place to find free to use tile sheets?

3. Where can I go to learn proper event creation since the Discord and HMA have not been so helpful or at least in a way I understand (Genuinely no offence to them)

1. From my understanding, you can't. You can edit the maps that exist and add new connections/break connections, but as far as deleting the existing and replacing with your own, I'm under the impression through the discord that you can't.

2. I absolutely wish! Unfortunately there is no support for importing full sheets. You can either edit them yourself with the image editor, or you can copy/paste in the image editor. You have to make sure the pallets are the same tho which can be a pain to get right.

3. The Discord, tbh. The github has some tutorials, but there isn't much out there other than what people have made so far. You can try to look on youtube, but again, not much there. King Cradi has some nice small tutorials, and you can try their discord.

Ping me in HMA server in discord , may be I can help. Also, as a newbie try out Advance map. HMA makes tiles insertion more easier but idk people keep it secret, your 1,3 can be easily done with advance map as well. Also you can try 2 as well with it (I never succeed in tiles insertion lol)

For what? Tilesets? Yes, I know that, but what I"m saying is that unless you have the pallets the same when you try to copy/paste it doesn't work. I've tried several times and have only been successful once. But HMA does not support full tileset importing. I've asked and was told this in the discord.

Watch king cradi's tutorials then starstruck shiny's tutorials. King cradi's tutorials are more face value and straight to the point and startstruck shiny's tutorials are way more in depth
