Brick Break

I was playing the elite four to get money, and when the 2nd person sent out Golem, I had Staraptor out. He used brick break and it was super effective..

That makes no sense to me. Can someone explain why this happened please?

Even though Staraptor is Flying, it is also Normal. Flying doesn't have a resistance against Fighting, so Staraptor's Normal type is what made it super effective.

Umm.. wrong. Fighting type moves do half damage on Flying types. As Staraptor is both Flying and Normal, they cancel out and Fighting moves do normal damage.

    Yeah, I did.

I get how roost works now then.

Cuz it says the pokemon lands, I thought ground attacks could hit it, but I can see how fighting was super effective now..

    Thanks. ^^

Did u use roost before brick break happened because roost does more than just heal u. I temeparily removes ur flying type until ur next attack. It's because when u use roost ur not flying so the flying type is diabled to make it more realistic. It can be good and bad at the smae time. It saved my pidgoet from Aaron's drapion and ice fang.
