4th Gen Best water pokemon to use for Diamond?

    What do you think is the best water pokemon to use in Diamond? It should be non-legendary, and not the Piplup family, since i took Chimchar as starter.

    I used to take Gyarados, in every game almost, so this time i'd prefer an other pokemon, but i'm not sure which one to take...
     
    Gastrodon is a pretty good tank, and Floatzel if you're looking for pure offense.

    Is there any difference in the east sea Gastrodon and the west sea Gastrodon? (in stats?)
     
    I used Gastrodon and Floatzel on my team and I've no complaints with either, both are very reliable :)

    In answer to your above question, I think they're both the same, stat-wise :) It just depends what you prefer the look of :) Personally I prefer the East Sea one :)
     
    I'd say Floatzel, since its strong and fast. An reliable choice for sure, but there are others but they appear later in the game, such as Milotic, Mantine, Azumarril and Quagsire.
    It depends on your team and what you want to add to it, stat-wise.
