Some players will use their master balls to catch other legendary pokemon to pick their favourite nature and high IV at their pokemon 's stat ( Ex : Sp.atk for my rayquaza with modest , Ev train , and high IV , 456 sp.atk at lvl 100 , Gameboy )
Or some players will finish the game as soon as possible ( Catch good nature groundon with master ball , and end the game , my record 4:21 beat the game with blaziken solo , Gameboy )
AFTER BEATING ELITE FOUR , DON'T TALK TO ANY TELEVISION FIRST ! ( BECAUSE TALKING TO IT WILL ACTIVATES LATIOS 'S APPEARANCE )
Most players thought they can't choose latios 's nature ?
There is a way to choose nature of latios you like . I will explain later , just don't talk to any TV !
To catch latios without master ball , get 2 to 4 Golbats from Skypillar
The higher the level , the easier , you may also evolve one of them into Crobat ( But takes long time to make happiness max , it is ok if you don't want to)
Prepare at least 30 hyper potions , 10 revives , 50 ultra ball and 25 timer balls ( Timer balls are VERY GOOD AT CATCHING LEGENDARIES AND TWICE BETTER THAN ULTRA BALLS WHEN IT REACHES MAXIMUM POWER OF CATCH RATE , and it is cheap )
Teaches the bats weaker move with no high critical ratio so you won't kill latios accidentally . ( Aerial Ace , Secret Power )
Get mach bike .
Get your bats and have a pokemon with you that has fly ( Crobat can fly )
Save infront of the Television at your home ( Littleroot City )
Talk to the TV , ( Notice : Before catching latios , NEVER SAVE THE GAME ! )
Go to Slateport City 's upper route , route 110 and get into the bike road shop , enter and come out , then encounter 5 times wild pokemons at the grass nearby the bike shop . ( It is close , I see other spots and other styles to meet latios from other players , as your wish )
After 5 times encounter , no meet latios , go in bike shop , come out again , do it repeatly . ( Patience and Luck are required )
Once you encounter Latios , mean look him , then hurt latios ( BE CAREFUL OF DAMAGING LATIOS , CAUSE HE IS NOT TOUGH )
If you are damaged , eat hyper potions , and keep throwing balls when you have a chance .
If your sp.def has been decreased , sacrifice that golbat / crobat you are using , let it dead .
Once you switch other golbat , MEAN LOOK AGAIN .
Revive the dead bats , eat hyper potions , then keep throw balls ( Use timer ball when the battle lasts for many turns )
You can also switch bats , even the first bat did not dead , he will try to escape the next turn , use the second bat to mean look him , then he can't escape again .
Latios 's catch rate is low , so keep throwing balls .
If latios is struggling and you still didn't catch it , escape before latios die ! ( Latios struggle 's damage are compare to the damage it deals to you , his attack is low , so only takes a little )
Confusing too , compare to a pokemon 's attack and defense ( Rayquaza hurt itself more because attack high , defense low , while latios didn't )
Escaping to try meet latios again , enter and out the bike shop and check pokedex to confirm his spot .
His pp will recharge after latios fled or you run away so you don't have to worry about it struggling to death .
Dusclops are good at catching latios but speed may lower than it , latios will escape ( If your dusclops speed are faster than latios , cast mean look , and latios can never damage your pokemon , cause ghost is immune to psychic )
Once you catches latios , check it's nature , if it is bad , reset :( , and do all the things above again , speak to the TV , bla bla bla...... ( Normal players won't mind pokemon's nature )
