    What do you think are the worst and best mega evolutions and why?
     
    Ugh, this is tough, because some of the designs that I HATE perform fantastically in battle, and others that I love are pretty meh.

    I'm going to have to say that Mega Diance and Mega Metagross are the best. The designs are fantastic and they each have fun and powerful niches to play with.

    In contrast, I'm going to say that Mega Beedrill and Mega Glalie are the worst. They're really just so.. forgettable for me? And that's worse than it being bad, imo. They left almost zero impression on me at all.

    My favorite mega is either Mega Lucario or Mega Medicham. The first is an amazing final stage to a fan favorite and the other gave a somewhat niche mon a lot of power.

    For least favorite it's Mega Garchop and Mega Audino. The former because it is more of less worse than the non-mega in most aspects, and the latter because it just feels like a wasted opportunity in general.
     
    i really love mega audino, altaria, diancie, charizard x, mawile, hmmm those are all off the top of my head. i forgot mega glalie was even a thing until fairy mentioned it. mega abomosnow is ugly too. i think megas look cool for the most part, but some are just. they exist and it's like. Alright
     
    Mega Garchomp, although looks cool, definitely doesn't benefit from the speed drop compared to his normal form. I'd rather have 130Att/102Speed than 170Att/92Speed, but maybe that's just me.
     
    Guess it depends on what metric we're measuring best and worst by here.

    From a battling standpoint, the one and only objectively true answer for best Mega is Mega Rayquaza. The thing is legit so busted that they had to ban it from the meta that was up until that point basically playable banland. As for worst from a battling standpoint, that's less clear, although stuff like Glalie/Audino/Banette are likely contenders for that title.

    If you go by other metrics though, things could be different.

    Personally though I like Mega Diancie, Mega Metagross, and Mega Gardevoir, and I have to give Mega Garchomp points for having a shiny that's actually different from the non-shiny form (it turns pink), unlike regular Garchomp.
     
    In my opinion, worst mega evolution is Garchomp. This mega evolution was honestly a big mistake, I hear its stats don't benefit when mega evolving.

    I think Mega Lopunny is the best because it gets the ability Scrappy, and gains the Fighting-type. I don't really use mega evolutions, but any Pokemon that loses the Klutz ability upon mega evolution is a win for me, tbh.
     
    My least favourites are:
    Mega Charizard X, because it drastically changes color of Charizard, has weird blue flames constantly coming out of its mouth and I think only one Charizard Mega would be fine.
    Mega Garchomp, because it's worse than regular Garchomp.
    Mega Lucario, because Lucario itself is pretty boring Pokémon and this form makes it even worse.
    Mega Lati@s, because it just looks like sibling to Latias and Latios and not like their ultimate form. And I find it pretty lazy to have two Pokémon with the same Mega design.

    As for my favourites I would say Mega Beedrill, Audino, Houndoom and the ultimate Yu-Gi-Oh player Mega Gallade.
     
    My least favorite would probably be Mega Metagross - I just don't like its design, compared with regular Metagross, and...the whole thing where it fuses with an additional Metang and two Beldums to Mega-Evolve is hard for me to swallow. Like, I can suspend my disbelief about Beldum and Metang fusing with other members of their species to evolve even when they're the only one in your party, but the idea of random Beldum and Metang coming out of nowhere every single time you Mega-Evolve and then going on their merry way once you're done is just too much. :/
    Close behind is Mega Heracross - I'm not a fan of regular Heracross (again, design just doesn't appeal to me), and the Mega really didn't improve on that.

    Some of my favorites...
    Mega Sceptile (I remember when ORAS was first announced, I had no idea which starter I wanted to pick - then I saw Mega Sceptile, and the decision was made)
    Mega Gardevoir (especially when it's shiny)
    Mega Charizard X (I know, I know, 2edgy, but I legitimately think it's gorgeous - that blue-and-black color scheme, the blue flames, the ragged wings...😍 I'd wear an outfit inspired by this design.)

    ...Mega Kangaskhan is my guilty pleasure Mega. u_u I know it's the scourge of the metagame, but the concept is adorable and I want to cackle evilly whenever I get one in the Battle Factory, so there!

    Also, shout-out to Mega Gengar and Mega Garchomp for tackling the "shiny Gengar/Garchomp" problem.

    I am not fond of Mega Audino, since it's Ability is not good for Singles, which are often played. Regenerator should have been chosen, as even without moves like Recover or Soft-Boiled, my preferred Ability is still solid.

    Personal favorite is Mega Sceptile, since it is immune to Electric-types thanks to Lightning Rod. It is cool-looking and can launch it's tail like a projectile.
     
    i'm quite a big fan of banette, its probably one of my favorite pokemon, and tbh i think i like mega banette even more! such a cool and creepy design. prankster is not a bad addition either. i also love mega lopunny!

    i don't really love mega salamence or either of the mega mewtwo designs. i think they're all a bit goofy looking.
     
    I personally like mega Lucario the most, but mega Lopunny, Alakazam, Medicham, and Gengar look incredible as well!
