In this article, it is stated that a developer by the name of Shigeki Morimoto allegedly promises that ORAS will contain a battle environment different from X and Y.
As is seen in this image of a Kalos battle scene, they were already a massive upgrade from previous generations. Still, they seemed a little dull, and there are lots of possible terrains that they could make new battle environments for in Hoenn.
Not much information, but I've posted in various threads about the diverse geography of RSE, and this could be attributed to that fact. In order to bring the areas to life, they could be designing much more detailed and map-specific battle environments. What do you think this means? Could it be merely propaganda and nothing more, or do you see them changing how battles look in an extreme way?
