[Sword & Shield] Badge level caps

So, I recently got on a raid in thr Crown tundra and captured a Lvl 70 pokemon. It is obeying me in wild battles and trainer battles but I have no badges. My questions are; Do the badge obedience level caps not effect pokemon caught in max raids and Will I be able to use that lvl 70 in gym battles?

If it's obeying you in wild battles and trainer battles, it should obey you in other battles too.

I'm not sure if I have this right, but the badge level usually affects Pokemon not caught or bred by the player, so that might be the explanation. In SwSh, the number of badges you have also affects the level of wild Pokemon you are allowed to capture, which makes it weird that you could catch a level 70 Pokemon with no badges, but maybe raid Pokemon are an exception, or even an oversight. I don't really know.
