Probably one of the only aspects of Black and White that hasn't been discussed yet, so here you can discuss;

Trio Badge.

Spoiler:

Cut is usable.
Pokemon up to Lv20 obey
No stats are increased.
This badge is the first badge obtained and is handed out by Cilan/Cress/Chili at the Striaton City gym.

Basic Badge

Spoiler:

No HM's are un-locked with this badge
Pokemon up to Lv30 will obey.
No stats are increased.
Aloe hands this 2nd badge out to winners at Nacrene City.

Beetle Badge.

Spoiler:

No HM's are Un-Locked with this badge
Pokemon up to Lv40 will take your commands.
No stats are increased.
Atei gives this to winners, it is the 3rd badge.

Bolt Badge.

Spoiler:

Strength is available for use.
Level 50 Pokemon won't ignore you.
No stats are increased.
Kamitsure hands this badge out to the winner, its the 4th badge.

Quake Badge

Spoiler:

Fly can be used.
Level 60 Pokemon will obey
No stats are increased.
Yakon hands this badge out to the winner of the 5th badge.

Jet Badge

Spoiler:

Surf is available
Level 70 Pokemon can be used to full use.
No stats are increased.
Furro hands the 6th badge out to winners.

UnovaIcicle Badge

Spoiler:

Waterfall can be used.
Level 80 Pokemon obey.
No stats are increased.
Hachiku gives you the 7th badge.

Legend Badge

Spoiler:

Dive can be used.
No stats are increased.
Any and all Pokemon will obey.
Iris or Shaga hand this badge out, its the final badge.

Quite honestly, I don't really like the slim, compact design of the badges... It's just too different. :c Something that should of stayed the same.
They really aren't badges anymore, more like pins. D;

But if I did have to pick a favorite, it would be the Icicle badge! It looks like an awesome sacred sword of some sort! :D

And I just noticed, shouldn't the first badge have Red, Green, and blue coloring, since it covers all of the three primary types?

I also think they are too skinny...
I like the Trio badge the best out of them all followed by the Quake badge, they are just colorful and lively compared to the others :)
the last badge sort of reminds me of one of Xemnas joke weapons in KH Days due to it's basic outline...

I actually like the Basic Badge. I like how it looks like a book's spine. (Yeah, I'm such a bookworm, I know...)

The Bolt is definitely my favorite. It's probably the simplest design, but still good.

I like how the bolt is part orange and yellow the colors of Raichu and Pikachu who ironically have a thunder bolt shaped tail :)

Agreeing with the others. Really skinny. D:

I love the Bolt badge though - because the other ones are coloured strangely or just have unusual designs, whereas the Bolt badge is simple and easy to understand the meaning of. Try showing the other badges to people and let them work out what gyms the badges represents, it's... almost impossible imo. :x

I can proably tell the 4,5,6,and 7th badges but the other half of them aren't too easy to figure out unlike like back in the day with Kanto, or Johto's badges which were obvious.

I like the Trio, Basic, Jet, UnovaIcicle and Bolt badges. I like the colour of the Beetle one but it's hard to decipher what it is.

I quite like the new badges.. Especially the bolt and jet badge, love the jet badges colours <3

I like the new badges, the skinny design doesn't bother me. I think it's quite an improvement compared to the old badge design. I personally like the Tri Badge and the Jet Badge.

Jet and Trio Badges are my favorites~.

The number 3 has been a long time favorite of mine, and it's supposed to be my lucky number too. I've always loved the idea of trios and things like that.

Jet badge just looks like a wing, and that's amazing to me. I loveeee wings. <3 The light blue is complimenting to it too.

The Jet badge also kind of reminds me of Jet exhaust if you look at it upside down or with your head tilted.

Seriously, the new design really kind of represent blending new graphics with old ideas

Oh, and posting again to agree with some of the posts above, the badges are way too thin.
Everything in the world of materialism is getting tinier and tinier, and now even Pokemon is getting infected by this craze. D:

I miss the old badge thickness. ;~;

Me, me too :( I liked the Sinnoh and Hoenn bulgeness... Johto's were too round and plain...
Though the thinness is good for the first two badges but it affects the rest's designs...
