Baby Pokémon

I'd mainly want Pokemon that are just really big or strong in their base form to get one. I've wanted one for Lapras for quite some time now... fortunately there's already a bunch of different fan art for how one potentially could look like =3
Spoiler:

I'd like one for Indeedee too, could be very cute =3

As for larger Pokemon that just always feel awkward to see hatch from an egg... a baby for Passimian and Oranguru could work too.
Duraludon could use one too with how strong it is. Also now that it has an evo with a bst of 600, giving it a baby as well would basically make it a pseudo =D

Although I'm not a fan of Tyrogue, Wynaut, Bonsly and Toxel, I don't feel like any are unnecessary. Every mon has a right to exist

Chingling is my absolute favorite, it's too cute =3
My favorites after that would be Happiny and Mantyke.

If more baby Pokémon were added, which Pokémon should get one?: Baby larva durant

Are there any you think aren't necessary? don't think budew was necessary, But it's cute so I don't mind!

What's your favorite one? Wynaut is so funny to me, the name and his design.

Likes baby Pokemon as a means of putting (single-stage) Pokemon with high stats in earlier areas. Some good Pokemon:
  • Kangaskhan. Already designed it, honestly.
  • Drampa. Basically starts out old. Why not have Drakid?
  • Druddigon. Can only imagine the monstrous eggs of this Pokemon. Hatches at a massive 306.4 pounds (139 kilograms). Figures out a smaller version pretty easily.

Finds Azurill, Pichu, Igglybuff, and Cleffa unnecessary. Resembles the next stage too closely. Forces you to raise its happiness to evolve it too. Likely hits the level to evolve to Azumarill before evolving to Marill, unless you grind for it. Spends fairly little time in the middle stage, as a result.

I don't like baby Pokémon as such because it requires grinding, and I don't do that.

Though I like few of them :

1. Togepi》》》》Togekiss
2. Riolu》》》》》Lucario
3. Elekid》》》》Electivire
4. Magby》》》》Magmortar

They are more than average when comes to utility in battles. And I don't mind to have them.

The ones which I don't like are: Pichu, Budew, Igglybuff, Tyrogue, Wynaut, Happiny and Bonsly.

Pretty poor for me.....

Now the one which should be there:

1. Cosmog: Looks like baby Pokémon to me.

2. Dreepy: Dex entry suggests weakling.

Baby Lapras plz. And Girafarig!

I like Tyrogue (especially its Shiny, at least in the 2D games) and Magby (mainly for its Neo Genesis card). Not the biggest fan of Budew, Chingling, Mantyke, or Toxel (barely considers the latter a Baby since it was released in the same Gen. as its evo).

I think we definitely need a baby kangaskhan, seeing kangaskhan hatch from an egg already adult and with a baby is good meme material. However, It would probably make more sense for us to be able to catch/hatch baby kangaskhan and somehow evolve it to an adult kangaskhan.

Calling Toxel a baby Pokemon has always felt weird to me, and I don't quite understand why. It fits all the criteria for one, but feels strange to include with the rest of the group. It's likely because it's the only new baby we've had in the last 5 generations and doesn't require an incense for breeding like most of the Gen IV babies do. Though of course, not all babies require incense. I think there are other Pokemon that could benefit from having babies, but a lot of earlier Pokemon are ones I think are already fine on their own or would benefit from evolutions rather than pre-evolutions, things like Sirfetch'd and Farigiraf. I think things like Lapras and Kangaskhan are okay on their own as long as we consider things like Lapras G-Max and Mega Kangaskhan.

I have such a soft spot for Budew though. Growing up with DPPt and having it be one of the first grass-types I encountered did that to me. What a cute little bud.

I think baby Pokémon work better for single stage Pokémon that are too strong to show up in the early game. There are plenty of candidates: Lapras, Miltank, Oranguru, Turtonator, Hawlucha, or Drampa to name a few examples. Basically what happened with Smoochum, Elekid, and Magby.

Things like Pichu, Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Azurill are pointless. Pokémon that can be already found within the first two gyms don't need a pre-evolution at all.

Furthermore the concept of baby Pokémon has been made pointless. The original point was that baby Pokémon could only be obtained via breeding, but in the modern games you can find them in the wild just like their respective evolved stages.
