    When you play Pokemon GO for the first time a day, you encounter a Pokemon, catch it, and you receive a ton of extra rewards for starting a streak. Then the rewards get bigger once you continue catching a Pokemon for the first time every day. If you keep a 7-day streak, your stardust rewards as well as your XP rewards get even more bigger.

    This counts the same for Pokestops. Recently Niantic announced a change that benefitted us players. If you pass a Pokestop on the 7th day of your streak, you will receive an evolution item (Metal Coat, Kings Rock, etc). At the same time, you get double the items each time you pass a stop for the first time a day.

    How are you with your streak accomplishments? Good? Could be better?
     
    Never missed a streak on Pokéstops or Pokémon. I'm slightly peeved that the guaranteed evolution item is random though. I need two Metal Coats and an Upgrade and since it began I've got nothing but endless Kings Rocks and Sun Stones. It would be nice if the first few streaks were a different item each time and then once the game had given you one of each it would become random.
     
    I always keep up with catching streaks, but never Poke Stop streaks. However, I'm trying to get one this week and every week after in hopes of getting a dragon scale for my Seadra.
     
    I've kept up with the streaks except for one day, Jan 14th, my birthday. My phone was dead and I completely forgot about Pokémon Go that day so I broke both the Pokestop and catching a Pokémon streaks.
    I've actually been doing the streak thing since it added exp to do it, since they added the evolution items, I've been doing it in order to get them all.


    So far I've gotten 2 Sun Stone's, 2 King's Rock's and 3 Dragon Scale's. I only need one Metal Coat and 1 Upgrade in order to have all of the evolution items needed for Gen 2. Granted I also need 50 Porygon candies and a couple Porygon as well.
     
    So I got my 4th Dragon Scale with my last streak and then 4 Pokestops later got a full odds Upgrade.


    That's my 4th full odds/random evolution item.
     
    The Evolution items are a good incentive, and I try to see my streaks through to at least the 7th day, even if I end up staying home on day 8. During events, I'm especially likely to be visiting stops daily.
     
    I keep up with it, mostly, i skipped a few days. But it seems like i spin so many stops on my way from and to work and routes i walk that the majority of items do not come from the weekly bonus. I have 14 items right now and used 8 so far. Currently out of metal coat, got 3 so far and used 3, i have a surplus of all the others.
