Are Wild Tera Pokémon Abilities scripted?

I'm currently doing a themed/challenge playthrough in which my party must be made exclusively from Wild Tera Pokémon (not ones you can find in Raids). And I'm playing with level caps among other rules so I can't just go catch the level 65 Garchomp to destroy a level 35 gym, I can only catch what's within currently level rank.

So, these Pokémon have fixed Tera types (like Flying Meowth, Poison Dunsparce, etc.). But are their Abilities also fixed or they can have both? I couldn't find any info on this. Because I just caught the Wild Tera Naclstack, but it has Sturdy instead of its much better signature Ability. Tried reloading a few times (auto-saving off) but still Sturdy, I don't know if it's somehow possible to get it respawn with a different Ability.

Appears to be fixed. Caught that Naclstack three times. Had Sturdy, a Naughty nature, and three perfect IVs in Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed all three times.

Checked this on the first time in-game today too. Reset the outbreaks every time. Could possibly be dependent on the day, much like Tera Raid placements. Seems unlikely, though. Will check again tomorrow. (Does not like messing with the clock.)

Edit: New day, same Naclstack.

Alright, thanks. I didn't want to touch the clock either (Would be weird to go back to real date and have a Pokémon caught in a day that hasn't actually come yet). Tried legitimately the next two days but it allways had Sturdy.

Garganacl is still good, but Sturdy looks... irrelevant since it's very unlikely to get ohko in-game with its considerable bulk, and its Ghost Tera type isn't great either. Could be worse (like the Salandit being male 😀) but I already have more interesting options to complete the team to choose from.

Ghost tera is actually great with Purifying Salt ability since it will reduce Ghost damage in half, so negates the weakness.

Yes, but this one didn't have Purifying Salt, so even against Ghost types it would stay safer as Rock type. And that's IF it could actually learn any damaging Ghost type move, but in fact it can't (other than Tera Blast).
