Are There Any Games With Trek/Survival Mechanics?

Hey y'all, so, I'm thinking I might embark on a project soon. Don't currently have a laptop that can run RPG Maker or anything similar, but I figured I could get the groundwork set now. But I thought I'd check in first and find out if maybe this was already a thing and I shouldn't bother.

What I want to do is make a Pokemon game (probably just a remake of LeafGreen or Emerald, but maybe a new region) with mechanics designed to make your cross country trek actually feel like a cross country trek. Not a survival sandbox, but, like, a hunger bar, a hydration bar, and a sleep bar. Give the player a camp they have to carry around in a Poké Ball like device. If you're near a town you can pop in to a restaurant to fill up your hunger, and there'll be drinking fountains, but if you're going on one of the longer routes you'll need to pack provisions. Caves, deserts, and snow areas will require special camp gear, so you'll either need to invest in your camp or carefully time out your sleep bar so you can make it through those in a straight shot. Maybe a hard mode where you have a set number of steps per day and you need to reinforce your camp so Pokemon can't jump you while you're sleeping.

Does something like that already exist though?

Interesting idea. I thought of something kinda similar where when the player saves they set up a small camp like they're about to go to sleep. Never thought about the rest, but could be interesting. Would be even more interesting if, instead of the player doing that, it's your Pokemon instead (like the Mind of their Own plugin).
