Arbok evolves into Seviper?

I was just watching the Pokemon Advanced Challenge episode called "A fan with a plan" and when it went to an ad it asked in Ash's voice "what pokemon evolves into Seviper?"

When it came back from the ad Ash said "if you said Arbok you were right"

So i'm confused since I thought Arbok didn't evolve and Seviper had no evolution or pre evolution?

It's a dubbing error. 4KIDS make these silly mistakes.

Seviper is not linked to any evolution and Arbok does not evolve.

Yes 4Kids have never played a Pokemon game before and because they were both snakes they got confused. They are always making errors.

Haha I didn't even realise this - but yes, it shows the shoddy quality of 4KIDS' dubbing. Anyway, this belongs in the Pokémon animé forum but since your question has been answered, I'll go ahead and close this up.
