3rd Gen Always Fire Red and not Leaf Green!!

    How come everyone is always talking about how they bought Fire Red. It is always Fire Red this and Fire Red that. I bought Leaf Green and have played Fire Red, and there is no difference to them. Can some one tell me what is the big deal with Fire Red?
     
    The name appeals more I guess.

    Fire always seems to be more "dangerous" than a Leaf...
     
    FireRed has more pokemon obtainable that are unobtainable in Ru/Sa. If you combined pokedexes for FireRed and Ru/Sa, you would come out with mor than if you combined pokedexes with LeafGreen and Ru/Sa.

    Also, LeafGreen is a remake of the Japanese green verson. We got the blue verson at first, so people might like FireRed since it is still a remake of one of our games.

    Also, most people like the idea of a Red game than a Green game. Who likes Venasaur better than Charizard? Charizard is an old favorite.

    leaf green is not a remake of japanes green, leaf green is a remake of blue,
    and what you say about the pokedex may be true but only by 2 pokemon.

    also THey are the same, and people buy more fire red than leaf green cause charizard comes in the portrait and fire is cooler.

    Know what i prefer LG. More exclusive.


    And FR/LG are the same game with different pokes in some areas so dont say stupid reamke things.

    LeafGreen is a remake of Japanese Green, which is English Blue. :P
     
    Because most people bought firered because it had charizard on the front<<<XD I know that is why I bought it XD>> And when ever they talk about their game they refer to it as fire red because that is the one that they have.
     
    man leaf green is the same as fire red, and is the remake of green/blue

    green/blue were the same games, but green had different pkmn sprites.

    I don't really care. They're both the same to me. I bought LG. If I had bought FR, the end result would stil lbe the same (which would be me shoving piles of codes into the thing)
     
    -shrugs- I have both. o_o and I don't think it's all about fire red, I've seen plenty of people talk about their LG game instead. it's just one of those things that depends on preference.
     
    Because more people like charizard better then Venusaur.at least thats my opinion why.
     
    i bought fire red because my mate bought leaf green ( to help each other with specfics eg.slowbro ) the same as i bought sapphire and my mate bought ruby
     
    Eh...my little sister just bought FireRed today. I told her to get FR since I already had LG anyways. She's at the Celadon Gym now...she got there faster than I did..and I cheated too...
     
    I have Leaf Green... Green is supposed to be the In Color this year, and even if it wasn't...definately Green over Red... (Plus Ivysaur isss sooooo cute so thats why i got it)
     
    Well, there has been so many explinations I still dont know what the reason is. Anyway, I like Leaf Green much better.
     
    I blame it on the fact that Fire Red is more easy to type then Leaf Green. Shorter, plus the keys are bunched more. It is just a theory so don't mind me. Anyways, It doesn't matter too much does it?
     
    It could also be that Red is the color of intimidation... In olden times, Armies used to wear red to scare off little forces that were in they're way, as gay as it sounds..
     
    There IS no difference in my eyes. Its all because of the box and the name. Fire is the thing that gets people and the fact the Charizard is better than Venasaur. But like if people will always start off with the pokemon on the front of the box? I started with Squirtle.(I have Leaf Green). People at my school are always saying "Fire Red is better than Leaf Green, sucked in." I always reply that I like the pokemon that you can get in Leaf rather than the pokemon that you can get in Fire. I mean, some people say that I shouldve gotton Fire Red, doesnt that mean that they wouldnt be able get all the pokemon then?

    Wow, that was nice rant...
     
    Charizard is better than Venusaur??? Pfft...Sleepleacher will pwn that thing.

    I don't know anyone that plays Pokemon at my school...I'm in High School and still playing it. Nothing wrong with that. There are 30 year olds who still watch Barney...I think...
