    Alright,

First of all, if this is already a subject, I'd be more than fine if this post were actually deleted, as I don't want to reawaken the subject if everyone knows everything about it.

If you didn't know, Lockstin / Gnoggin on YouTube made an amazing theory about how Pokemon: Sun and Moon were the last games in this era of Pokemon, and there could be a reboot which could take place at some other point of time.

The overall subject of the video goes over how many relations Pokemon has to alchemy. He gives an example about Project AZOTH, which we hear about in the OR/AS section of Gen VI. He actually explains that there is a symbol in alchemy that is known as Azoth. Take a look:

Not only is there a Sun and Moon in the background of this symbol, but there is a lion eating some bird-like creature. He also explains how this could be transferred into the idea of this creature actually being more like a bat. Not only does it have relation to Pokemon Sun and Moon evidently, but the Greek name for AZOTH has the symbols Omega and Alpha, which are parts of the premise in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. (I also noticed that it says AZ at the beginning of AZOTH, but I'm not sure if that's significant).

This is just a little bit of what he said. Check out his video here:

I personally hope they don't delve too much into alchemy for the theme of these games, because mostly that stuff kind of weirds me out. With the majority of the new Pokemon being based on endangered and/or extinct species, Masuda and Ohmori at E3 putting emphasis on life, and Zygarde as protector of the ecosystem, I see conservation and preservation of the environment being the most likely scenario.

Like you said, while we have some alchemy themes present in some of the Pokemon I don't see it becoming the central plot theme of the games. Given the basis of a lot of the new Pokemon on endangered animals (extinct in the case of Rockruff) I think conservation and preservation would make for a more likely plot theme.

I miss the original theme of the games. It used to be more simplistic. Your rivals were very resilient and sometimes battles were sometimes difficult more often than not. It was just a whole simple thing, but I really like where there is more unusual mysteries happening, but there are just a couple of things that are becoming way to complex with the game.
