    Akagami no Shirayuki-hime depicts Shirayuki's journey toward a new life at the royal palace of Clarines, as well as Zen's endeavor to become a prince worthy of his title. As loyal friendships are forged and deadly enemies formed, Shirayuki and Zen slowly learn to support each other as they walk their own paths.

    I only picked this one up about the time season one aired, despite the fact that the manga has been going for ten years. I'd heard of it by name, but never looked into it, which now I kinda regret and am trying to make up for lost time with the manga. Since season two is close to airing, I thought I'd make a new thread.

    watchatalkin'bout?! Shirayuki was awesome! I think a decent amount of people watched the first season from A&M.

    Well, if no one else, you can count on me to post about it and engage in discussion for S2. Really liked S1 a lot, so I'm pumped for S2. <3 Such a pretty anime.

    I'm gonna start season 2 because the art is beautiful, and Zen is neat.

    Did they?? I was unsure, because I know a lot of the people that are really active in this area are guys that don't really seem to be shoujo watchers. XD

    Glad that a few people are gonna watch it, though.

    I'll probably watch ep 1 real late tonight when I get home. Motivation to deal with closing at work. lol
     
    Watched episode one yesterday, and that was some good shit. I'll be curious to see how Shirayuki operates when she's on her own with only Mitsuhide in the next episode or two, or however long they'll keep that twist going.

    I missed this show so much. <3

    Episode 1
    First episode was great at pulling me back in. Effortlessly.
    I was actually kinda hoping for Obi to accompany Shirayuki instead of Mitsuhide, to be totally frank. Because I don't know if it is just me but it definitely looks like Obi has the hots for Shirayuki. I mean, obviously, Shirayuki and Zen are the OTP. But I'm interested in the shirayuki - Obi relationship too. I'd personally like to see Obi be frank about it sometime and let her know about it. Not that it'll do him any good since Zen x Shirayuki is set in stone lol. But still.

    I was surprised at how easily she agreed, too. But that decision means we'll be seeing more of independent Shirayuki outside of castle. And that's never a bad thing.

    I love Mitsuhide and all, but this all the way. I actually went into this series for Obi and Shirayuki, originally. I know Obi wouldn't be comfortable making too many moves on her because of Zen, but I still want him to try anyway, because I ship it.

    lol and I dislike him. He may have changed but if you make THAT kind of a first impression, you better do something exceptional for me to start liking you :p But that's just me!

    Anyway, I'm glad this anime took the route I was hoping it'd take. Can't wait to see their interaction! <3; 3rd EP has been out for about a day. Gotta watch that. Shall report back with my impressions once I do. :3

    I think I've warmed up to Raj. I hated his guts but his ingenuity and just sincere attempts at making Shirayuki feel at home at all times made me feel like I perhaps judged this guy too strictly and too early. Either way, I'm liking him now.

    Watched episode 5 a while ago. I can't describe how excited I was when Obi owned that assface. <3 I'm scared for Shirayuki now. But we know Zen will come save the day. :D Also, very curious about this "place where shirayuki belongs". And the "old man". Need to know what Kazuki was talking about ;;

    Damn you weekly series for making me suffer like this! :(

    Hahahah, yeah, I feel like this season will be kind of a Raji redemption arc. lol

    I disliked him in episode one and two, but he grew on me in his appearances after that.

    I'm looking forward to the next few eps a lot, but I did spoil myself with the manga because my will power is horrible. Though I do want Zen to just set the ship on fire or something. End the whole thing in five minutes.

    Also, I still feel like there are multiple ways to compare this to Akatsuki no Yona, though Yona came later, so if anything, maybe Yona was giving nods to Shirayuki.

    PSA: Kazuki is beautiful.
