So, I just got a new Gameboy Advance and Firered yesterday. I was really excited about playing, so naturally began (literally) right away. Someone told me that on Firered and Leafgreen you can leave your Pokemon at the daycare like you can in the newer generations and they'd breed and lay an egg. My question is simple: Do I have to wait till I get to the island where you can catch Gen II Pokemon to do so? I figured I'd have to; but, I wanted to ask first. No question is stupid and all that.

Yes. You have to beat the Elite Four (and Champion) and then you'll gain access to 4 new locations, one of which has a day care center that can take care of 2 Pokemon at once.

    Awesome. :]

That just makes me want to play the game more. :3 Thanks!

:] I was excited to find out, too. I didn't have the money to buy it then. :[ But, I did now and I'm more than excited to move on with the game. :)

    Thanks!!

To get to the 4 new islands, you beat the elite four, the champion, and then gain 60 pokemon caught, then professor oak will give you the national dex, and you will travel to vermillion and go to Bill's friend on one island, he will tell you about 2 stones, the first stone is on Mt. Ember, you have to travel there and hopefully, before you did this, you talk to the 2 team rocket member blocking the way, if you didn't...i dont know, but, if you did, there will be a hole in the back and they will fight you, you go in after they run away and you go through the cave, at the end is the Ruby, you take it back to Bill's friend and he tells you of other places and another potential area of the Sapphire, I think he does that, and takes your ticket and gives you another one allowing u to travel to 4-7 island, and takes your map and adds another sheet to go along with the new islands.

    Thank you, Piplup trainer. :]

I already did all that, though. =P I was... pretty fast about beating the game. I usually am the first time I play Pokemon games. It's the second and third and so on times that I'm all slow. xD The problem I have now is finding the Sapphire. :S Seems I've went to every island and still haven't found it. Dx

Oh, yeah, since this is a board about breeding...

... does anyone know what Pokemon Clafairy can breed with? I know there's certain kinds of Pokemon that can breed with one another... but, I can't remember which ones... And it seems every Pokemon I leave with Clafairy doesn't breed with her.

Clefairy belongs to the "Fairy" Egg group and breeds with the following Pokemon:

    Azumarill (Water 1)
    Breloom (Plant)
    Castform (Interminate)
    Clefable
    Clefairy
    Delacatty (Ground)
    Glalie (Mineral)
    Granbull (Ground)
    Hoppip (Plant)
    Jigglypuff
    Jumpluff (Plant)
    Marill (Water 1)
    Mawile (Ground)
    Minum
    Pikachu (Ground)
    Plusle
    Raichu (Ground)
    Roselia (Plant)
    Shroomsih (Plant)
    Skipoom (Plant)
    Skitty (Ground)
    Snorunt (Mineral)
    Snubbull (Ground)
    Togetic (Flying)
    Wigglytuff

Thank you!! To both of you.

I really didn't know that Clefairy and Pikachu could breed. That's interesting.

I did, however, remember that Ditto could breed with anyone (except legendaries, right?) and that's how I got another Eevee. :] I'm breeding Eevee's so that I can get all of Eevee's evolved forms.
