A Map of the Pokemon World

I have decided upon a definitive map of the Pokemon World, ignoring that one shot in the movie of Unova. Here's the proof.

    Kanto - Johto
Kanto and Johto, are, obviously, adjoined to one another. However, since they have no snowfall in the north or south extremities, it can be assumed that they are in the temperate zone of the world, while still being relatively close to the equator.

    Sevii Islands
The Sevii Islands are, as Bill said in FireRed and LeafGreen - "south of Kanto."

    Hoenn
Hoenn is a bit of a tricky one. Hoenn is close enough to Johto and Kanto that the player can travel to the Sevii Islands without a problem, as it was in Emerald. It is also close to Johto, as the player moves to Hoenn from Johto. Considering the warm, tropical climate of Hoenn, it is likely located on the equator an south of Johto and Kanto. So far, this map is looking an awful lot like Japan, with Johto and Kanto adjoined and Hoenn to the south (likely southwest, as the map is meant to resemble Japan).

    Sinnoh
I have heard that someone in the games mentions that Sinnoh is northwest of Johto and north of Kanto, but otherwise, we have a pretty good idea of where it is anyway. Thanks to the Sinjoh Ruins Event in HG/SS, we can see on the map that the player is somewhere north of the Lake of Rage. Since the Sinjoh Ruins represents a clash of Sinnoh and Johto culture, it would mean that it is located between the two. So, Sinnoh is in the far north, as it snows in its northernmost parts, and, according to Bulbapedia - "Snowpoint is geographically the northernmost city in the known Pokémon world."

    Almia
Thanks to the Manaphy Events in the Pokemon Ranger series, we know that Almia and Oblivia are very close to Sinnoh. However, since Almia is the only region with snow at its northernmost point (not including mountains like Mt. Sorbet in Oblivia or the Sekra Range in Fiore), we can assume that it is the closest the Sinnoh.

    Fiore
Fiore is quite tropical in its southern regions, and is only snowy at the north due to the large mountain range. In the Manaphy event here, though, we get a definitive answer of its location in relation to Sinnoh. After rescuing the egg in the event, Murph remarks on how the Go-Rock Squad probably ran far away. The professor then realizes that if the send the egg to a faraway place, it will be safe. Then, he mentions that Sinnoh is a far away place and could be a good place. This region, however, must be close to Almia and Oblivia, for the same Ranger Union to apply in all three regions. So, it is south of Sinnoh enough to call Sinnoh "far away", but close enough to be near Almia. Also in the games, they say that Sinnoh is the "closest region" with trainers to send the egg to. So, Fiore must be north of the Sinjoh Ruins.

    Oblivia
Oblivia is easier to explain than Fiore. It is mostly temperate and refers to Sinnoh as close. So obviously, it is between Almia and Fiore and close to Sinnoh.

    Kalos
Kalos, as the most recent new region, is a tough nut to crack. It has had any specific location assigned to it, but based on the words of a few NPCs, it can say with exact certainty where it is. First, we should consider the climate. It snows in the northern part of the region and is mostly temperate below that, so we know it is very northern. Next, consider its location in relation to the "Japanese" regions, or the regions based off of Japan. In Azure Bay, the first trainer you meet says that he swam all the way to Kalos from Hoenn, and isn't even tired yet. So we know that Kalos is quite close to the Japanese regions, since this NPC swam from Hoenn. So, it is likely located somewhere near Sinnoh and the Ranger regions.

    Unova
Unova, it has been said, is far from the Japanese regions. In the Gen 5 games, we are given nearly 0 evidence pointing towards its location. However, in X and Y, in the Parfum Palace, there are two statues of Zekrom and Reshiram. An NPC comments how since the palace is so old, Unova and Kalos must have been in close touch. This means that Unova is close to Kalos. Its climate is mostly temperate, with snowy regions in the north, much like Kalos, but it seems to be separated by a decent bit considering Kalos has to be close to the Japanese regions.

PMD Time, Darkness, and Sky Region
This is the only region where the snowy areas are in the south, obviously indicating it is the only known region in the southern hemisphere. It also has to be far from humans for the wilderness to be largely untouched by even Pokemon and only Pokemon to roam the land.

    PMD Red and Blue Region
This region is once again in the northern hemisphere, but still has to be far away from people. However, we know it is close to the other PMD region as the Kecleon Brothers appear in both games.

So, in conclusion, my map is something like this:

Johto and Kanto in the northeast of the globe, Sevii Islands in the south, Hoenn to the west of the Sevii Islands on the equator. Sinnoh in the far north, with all three Ranger game regions close by, with Almia northernmost, Oblivia next, and Fiore last. Kalos is somewhere west of Sinnoh, but a tiny bit south of there, perhaps across a sea. Unova is located near Kalos, perhaps across a small ocean or a large sea. It is a tiny bit more south of Kalos and is the westernmost main region. The PMD regions exist in the far west, with the one from the second game in the north, and the one from the second game in the south. The area where Africa and Australia would be is unknown at this point.

I am no good at creating maps or anything, but if someone could create a giant map like that, that would just be fantastic. Well, let me know what you think in the comments. Thanks for reading!

Please note that my map does not include regions like Ransei, Orre, anime-exlusive regions, Holon, the trading card regions, or any other side-game regions that I have not yet explored.

You're not really wrong in your guesses of where the different regions lie. All of them are alternate copies of already existing regions in our world; Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and the Sevii Islands are in Japan, Unova is in New York and part of New Jersey, and Kalos is in France. Almia I think is in Japan also, slightly south of Sinnoh, and I have no clue where Oblivia and Fiore are. Orre interestingly is in Arizona.

As for the continents PMD and PMD2 take place in, I have no real idea where they might be located in our world, or even if they're meant to be located in our world at all. I'm assuming the world stretches farther than what the maps in both sets of games depict, so there may be yet undiscovered regions that aren't shown on either map. PMD mentions the World of Pokemon the main games take place in but there is no such mention in PMD2, and coupled with the fact that both of them have certain Pokemon in different places they may be in their own unique worlds. After all there are no Time Gears in PMD, and there's no places like Mt. Thunder or Stormy Sea in PMD2, though that could be chalked up to it being in a different region.
