    I want to buy a better smartphone to play pokemon go. I now have a moto g2 and it's horrible. So, what device do you guys recommend me? Keep in mind that I have little money.

    Have you tried prepaid phones like TracPhone, Metro PCS, Cricket, or Virgin Mobile? I have Virgin Mobile and I find the game runs very well. You can get prepaid phones on Amazon for less than in stores and on the provider's website.

    Moto G4 Play is Verizon Prepaid for $85 or unlocked Best buy for $125, Amazon Prime has a Amazon ad infected version of the Moto g4 (Not sure which, there is 3 now G4, G4 Play, and G Plus (best one). If you buy from Motos website I can get you a discount on any of the phones.

    I recently got a new smartphone, i wanted a really good one for less than 300 euros, new, no contract, for use with prepaid. That may be too pricey for you.

    Anyway, i settled for a samsung galaxy S5. Its really good, really fast, and you can easily replace the batteries and the display. So you can buy a used one, where the batteries have gone weak or the display is broken, and fix it yourself. Maybe you can also find a new one for below 300 dollars.

    I think its worth it because its a really good phone that can last many many years.

    I don't think we can provide anymore help than what's been said already. Look at the prepaid phone options available to you and find a smartphone and plan you can afford.

    Buying a prepaid phone is basically the same compared to buying a phone with no contract at all, or a used phone, and then buying a prepaid starter kit that comes with a sim card and phone number. Except that its a bundle.

    does anyone else want to help me here?

    At this point we need more information. What is your price range? Does it have to be new or can it be a used phone? Can it be a broken phone that you can repair yourself?

    You want processing power if you want an app with big amounts of 3d graphics and big hardware demands to run smoothly. Processing power costs a bit. My Samsung Galaxy S5 has a quad core clocking in at a total of 2,5 Ghz. The game loads fast and runs smoothly.

    first of all, thanks everyone for all the help!

    @Neltharion
    I can pay something like 150~170 dollars for a phone. And I'd rather it'd be new and not used/broken.

    But you are the second person who own a galaxy s5 and said it runs smoothly, so maybe I'll buy (maybe I'll wait until Black Friday)

    Again, thank you all! :)

    The price should go down further because of the new samsung models, and the battery explosion issues and the callback. The S5 has no such issues because you can take out the battery easily.

    You could also go one step down, the S5 has lots of rather pricey features like a really good camera and a very high quality display, and 2.5 Ghz could be so much processing power that its overkill for pokemon go, a bit less should also be enough. If the display is a bit smaller with a bit lower resolution, that also saves processing power because it is easier to calculate the 3d graphics.

    Unfortunately i do not know many different smartphones, but with 150 dollars for just the hardware with no sim card, or bundled with a prepaid sim, there should be some good options.
