Preface:
On a whim, I decided that it might be fun to make a Pokemon that could obtain every Ribbon in the game. (This is impossible, as there is the Classic Ribbon, as well as certain ribbons given out at tournaments, so I'm settling for as many as humanly possible).
Smeargle was the obvious candidate, as his ability to learn any move in the game would make him easily win the contests. In addition, he's one of my favorite Pokemon (I'm a sort of artist myself, so he really endears to me). So, I imported a Neutral Natured Smeargle (so he would be able to max out each of his contest stats) from Colosseum (giving him the National Ribbon, and later, the Earth Ribbon).
However, I noticed that one of the ribbons (two, actually) require beating the Battle Tower (or at least getting a 50-streak). So, I taught my Smeargle some fighting moves, put together a team, and stormed the Battle Tower.
This did not work as well as I had hoped.
I need help with my team- I just can't get it to work right.
tl;dr I need to beat the Battle Tower with a Smeargle.
On to the team!
Smeargle@ Salac Berry
Quirky
100 Spd (all I kept track of)
-Spore
-Endure
-Lock On
-Sheer Cold
It was either this or the Endure/ Endeavor build. Man did that suck. So I'm using this instead, and it's working a bit better.
Salamence@ Choice Band
Bad Nature
LOL EVs
-EQ
-Brick Break
-Aerial Ace
-Flamethrower
Evolved from a random Bagon I caught. Latios previously occupied this spot, until I got walled by Shedinja.
Suicune@ Lefties
Gentle (lol)
A few in HP here and there.
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Calm Mind
-Rest
CMCune, imported from Colosseum. It didn't occur to me to SR for Natures.
That's my team. Smeargle must be on it, the rest are open for suggestion. Can you help me out here?
Can anyone help with this? I know the Emerald Battle Tower is supposed to be retardedly easy, but I really need a second opinion on this. I've only been able to get to 28 wins... :(
