[Released] Pokemon Pathways (9/14/24: Alpha 9.0.3)

hey, i just downloaded the game, but cant figure out how to run it. is there a walkthrough or smthn? yes, i am dumb

Made a really sick Onix 🎉 it has the same BST as Steelix in this game, and the custom stuff you see on it is from the Adventurer role master:

Forced it to get the custom Sandstorm ability, and Rock types get 50% Sp Def in Sandstorm, and I also plan to use Eviolite with this, so it should be really bulky. Boulder Drop is a base 90 Rock Slide, and forced it to get Flip Turn since I like playing on Set mode and should be a great tempo move

You can get Hidden Abilities via the Ability Patch, which is available at the Game Corner and the Kecleon Shop

In terms of ranking up classes, you just need a certain requirement of Intelligence and Skill, you can use whatever Pokemon you choose
 
Battle Week was pretty easy, could deff be made harder with more lengendaries/mythicals, maybe more Ultra Beasts and Paradoxes. Also the AI didn't adjust well to certain abilities - for example if you switch in a mon with Desolate Land, Water attacks don't work but the AI doesn't really read that. So it may use Water moves over and over to no effect. Same with Primordial Sea and fire moves

Beat Born and gonna post my team, EV trained and leveled up to 99 or 100, made them all both Shadow and Shiny to get a 15% boost on attacks, and still took a bunch of resets to learn what was going on lol.

hi, trying out your game, after awhile, i looked at my riolu's stats, when i got it, all ivs was 15, but when looked, all my ivs was 0, idk if that's a bug or not

I wanna know the settings of light and dark auras so I had a lot of light aura till becoming supreme six but then I took over the rocket magma and aqua and my light decrease by a lot...so I am a bit confused.... shouldn't the dark aura show rise than the decrease of light. Shouldn't good deeds should be counted as well as bad and 'is limit 29 or 39?'
And that is that but I loved the game a lot....so much that I can't explain in words be it battling, exploring or story wise.
And I am also waiting for the update so I can USE my affinity to have a H
 
And would you mind to do some changes....? cancel the attack of the partner when we throw pokeballs. I lost a shiny Aron because I partnered up with gym girl. I threw pokeball and it was not caught then the partner attacked and fainted the Pokémon and after that I never used partnering 🙂

For Generations, Pokemon has been a game where you get your starter from the professor,​

catch wild Pokemon, Beat the gym leaders, defeat the elite 4 and inevitably become Champion.

Maybe you even get a legendary or two during your journey. All of this is known as the typical

Pokemon game format. Today, I bring you something different.. Unique, so to speak. This project is currently

being worked on by a whole community, however, it started with just two people. Both of us enjoyed the creation of this game and this is the first game we ever made and released.

~ Player's Choice
- A majority of in game outcomes are solely dependent on your choices alone.
What you say, do and decide will dictate your future, just like real life.

~ Character Stats
- Stats such as Intelligence, Strength, Charm and Skill
are all calculated based on your choices in game. These stats also determine what
you as an individual are capable of. Make a choice, and you'll see one of these stats effected.

Intelligence - Determines how smart the player is. It is needed to ascend to higher rank classes and discover the unknown.
Strength - Determines how physically strong the player is. It is needed to move, make or break objects!
Charm - Determines how attractive the player is. It is needed to increase success when flirting and to encounter Legendary Pokemon!
Skill - Determines the player's abilities as a Pokemon trainer. It is needed to unlock more wild Pokemon and Trainers to battle!

~ Energy - A character stat that determines how many actions you are able to do in a day. Various activities will consume your Energy.
You will be notified once your Energy is low, and once it is low enough, you will have the choice to sleep and start the next day.

~ Interactions - Not necessarily a character stat, but still effected by player actions. It determines the game's time of day.
Essentially, the more interactions you make in a day, the more time has passed. It is reset everyday.

~ Reputation - Positive and Negative alignment based on your choices in game. Some may be good, others not so much.
The same person may say different things to you depending on your level of Reputation.

~ Academy Perks - Winning Club activities will grant you different perks that are permanent!
There are 13 in total but you can only have two so choose wisely!

~ NPC Affinity - Some of the NPC's in your class are students you can bond with. These NPC's will give you a variety of things.
Their affinity with you is displayed when interacted with. You may talk and battle with them daily, and will be able to unlock future interactions as well.

~ Schooling System - You are at an academy with your own dorm room. You are expected to complete homework on time and attend class Monday - Friday.
Failure to do so will result in a detention. Getting enough Detentions and skipping detentions skipped will ultimately lead to your expulsion.

~ Multiple Save Files - You are able to have up to 8 different savefiles!
This gives you the option to see and experience the many different choices and outcomes available in Pokemon Pathways without having to lose your main progress!

Hey, This is my first time playing a fan made game. I've always been interested in pokemon, it being one of the many shows that formed my childhood. Though I'm encountering a problem when I download the game-
1) I download the game to a folder
2) I extract it, or try to and get hit with this error.

gonna take a guess and say you tried to extract a rar file thru basic extraction and not via the proper program such as 7-zip or any equivalent as i was able to extract it and play it perfectly fine with no issues as have my friends that are also playing it alongside me
 
Question, what are the file names for the trainer pngs for walking? Something I love doing in these fangames is make my own lil character and import it into the game files and I successfully did so with the leaf png for run but i cant seem to find the one for walk, or maybe its the other way around?

So I've veen playing this for a bjt and am on Week 3 atp iirc
Anyway, I reached C-Rank and befriended my new classmates and got the numbers of Eros and Aran but every time I try to call them it calls Akiza instead?? Is this intentional and am I not getting a joke or is this a bug?
 
The game hasn't been updated since January, but before that, the game got a new update every few weeks. Why are the updates slowing down? Did the creator lose interest in making this game? That would be very sad, because the game looks very promising so far.

Hello. You had the misfortune of encountering a rather specific Bug against Team Magma. It was fixed for 9.0, however.

The next update will be a big one. We decided to tackle one of the main missing elements of Pathways: the story. There were some teaser announcements on Discord if you wish to know some of the feature 9.0 has in store.

Well that's good to know. I did notice that the game got kind of bland after I graduated D-rank. There was almost no story after that. I assumed that was only the case because it just hasn't been implemented yet.

I really liked the story that I saw in the game so far, so I'm looking forward to the next update. I will probably have to reset my playthrough though, considering how much I progressed through the game.
