I will take Torchic, cause Blaziken's my favourite. I've read somewhere, in the 3rd generation, Treecko is somewhat neutral, Mudkip is easy in the beginning and hard at the end, while Torchic is difficult at first but prove to be useful in the end (I wipe E4 just with my Blaziken).

Maybe it's better that nintendo makes the remake of G/S/C just like the Emerald version. You know, different stories that can make you get both Groudon and Kyogre (in this case, maybe both Lugia and Ho-oh and some other legendaries). It's also better that in the remake we can go to Hoenn region...
