iLife '09


iPhoto '09
Faces - This new feature makes me want to get a Mac even more. Honestly, my friends are sick and tired of me saying how much I want a Mac, how I would use it, why I want it, etc. Faces being brought to iPhoto is amazing. I honestly never thought Apple would be introducing this to their products, how rare that may be for me to say. How quick and easy these features go into action is simply stunning.

Places - I'm very intrigued on the fact that they added a Map to this feature. I mean, I was expecting there to be a way to organize photos by places. This feature seems incredibly advanced for iPhoto to be using. The fact that it now recognizes GEO tags and detects where the place is is simply amazing. It's very useful of how it also has a database of places as well for those where GEO tags aren't embedded into the photo itself.

Facebook and Flickr - I find this one to be the most useful feature to me since I'm one to use Facebook. The syncing to iPhoto and Facebook is amazingly useful to me since I'm not good with faces (though I probably wouldn't take pictures of someone I didn't know purposly, but whatever).

Slideshow Themes - I highly doubt that I will be making slideshows of my pictures. I do find the transition from picture to picture to be stunning and the fact that the slideshows are able to integrate easily with the iPhoto and iTunes.

Travel Books - I don't have much to say about this. It's nothing useful to me, however I find the books themselves rather amazing. It's like a journal with scraps of photos and maps of places where you took the picture.


iMovie '09
Precision Editor - I love the fact that skimming and the advanced features that combines visual and audio as well as the advanced edit features of the precision editor.

Advanced drag and drop - With a hand and hand feature with the precision editor, this is very useful for effects on effects.

Dynamic Themes - I enjoy the fact this feature adds a professional feel to homemade movies. It's as simple as that.

Animated Travel Maps - Nothing to say about this.

Video Stabilization - For people who seriously suck with holding a camera or have reason to be bouncing around, this stabilization feature is extremely useful.


GarageBand '09
Learn to Play - The fact that you can now learn how to play a guitar or keyboard is a new break in anything involved with music. The tutorials are bound to be powerful with notation and key highlightion.

Artist Lessons - The fact that popular artists are now allowing others to play their song is amazing and so generous. Having a store involved with these, as well as the details regarding the song themselves, is a useful feature for everyone who is looking to be in a band themselves one day.


iWork '09


Keynote '09
Magic Move - Animations from slides to slides seem to be very advanced in the powerful features.

Object Transitions - Nothing to say about this. Pretty much self explanatory... transitions from pictures.

Text Transitions - Same as above, only regarding text.

Chart Animations - I have no use of this, however I'm sure I may in the future. I can imagine the powerful ways this will help people with projects in regards to data and presentations would really work out for.

Themes - Much nicer than that of Microsoft PowerPoint. 'Nuff said.

Keynote Remote - Power of a presentation in the palm of your hand. Not for me, but I'm sure it will be for someone else.


Pages '09
Full Screen View - One thing I've disliked (out of the few things) with Mac OS'. If only this feature was available for everything.

Dynamic Outlines - So useful for myself since I'm having to make so many outlines a day.

Mail Merge with Numbers - lolwut? Ok.

MathType and EndNote - So easy for me to do math on the computer now... if only it included a calculator as well.

Templates - Yeah,... same as the themes for keynote. Better than Microsoft's. That was a given, though.


Numbers '09
Table Categories - I don't use spreadsheets, but the allowance of advanced categories are simple and easy for those who use spreadsheets for whatever purpose.

Easy Formula Writing - This needs to be added to life.

Charts Options - Nothing to say about this.

Linked Charts - k.

Templates - Do I really have to say?


iWork.com - Yes! Excellent way for getting information easily and quickly. I would be sure to use that if I actually get a Mac one day. Easy way to cheat, in my opinion. >:3 The functions of notes allows an easy way for people to proof-read and basically leave edit marks of what to revise is very useful for any student who's writing a report and has to get it just right!


17" MacBook Pro


There isn't much to say about this. If you've already seen the new MacBooks, you'll know a lot about this. The difference is really resolution, size, and weight. So, yeah, if you haven't seen the new versions of the MacBook, I suggest you check that out... The only thing I can say that is really different would be the battery. The battery will typically last for about five or so years and lasts around 8 hours.

I want this MacBook more than anything. Even more than a car. And that's saying something.

first is the iLife programs are being updated to become iLife '09.
What's new? here:
iPhoto has been updated with new browsing techniques.
  • Last year they introduced Browsing by Events, This year they've added a new way to categorize. By Faces. that's right, iPhoto now has some rudimentary facial recognition in there so that now it will identify who is in what picture and if you want to see just that person just type in the name you assigned to that face and iPhoto will pull up every photo with that person in it where you can clearly see their face! They admit "Face detection isn't perfect, but this is incredibly good."
    Another new browsing method is by Places.
  • The places feature utilizes GPS geotagging that can be used on many new cameras. (geo tagging places the gps location of the photo taken into the metadata of the photograph in the digital camera) and in the even that your camera doesn't have the geotagging feature you can manually place a pin in the iPhoto map to where the picture was taken. By integrating geotagging they have also integrated Google Maps so that hen you get home and are looking at your pictures in iPhoto you can simply click on the location to be taken directly to a map of the area courtesy of Google maps.
  • Also integrated is support for Facebook and Flickr uploading directly from iPhoto. Facebook users will enjoy being able to add names to people in pictures on Facebook and have the info from the web transmitted back to iPhoto for later reference. “Places can show a map with all photos taken in the specific area.”
  • iPhoto slideshow themes allow users to style their slideshows for the particular event you're using the slide show for, whether it's just showing off vacation pictures or presenting a portfolio for potential customers. you can even save these slide show in a format for viewing on your iPod Touch or iPhone. Slideshows now have the face detection integrated so that it will find the faces in the photo and center it for you.

There was no Mention of the Mac Mini, iPhone Nano, or even updates to the iMac series. Maybe we’ll hear more about them in the coming months as Intel continues to work on it’s new Core I7 technology, but who knows.

NUUU VACATION NUUU FONTS!
Vacation ends. This fricken sucks. I don't want to wake up at six every morning again and a;lskdghl;asdgh work my asdf off .. AGAIN. I hatehatehate this. I blame PC for screwing up my sleep schedule. Graphics and the need to post kept me up until three almost every day. I HATE LIKING A FORUM ;;!!!

First Entry!


So it seems I finally have my own blog. As you can see, it wasn't through post count, but by my $20 donation to Pokecommunity. To those that don't already know the story: I had lots of money left over from Christmas, and my mom lent me her credit card to buy a book on Amazon. I was going to buy three separate hard covers that would add up to $50, but I found the three paperbacks in a package for only $30. With that $20, instead of buying another book, I donated to PC. I was so giddy (eww, I'll never use that word again) about my donation that I forgot the name of the three books I ordered. The only thing I remember is that they are all written by George R. R. Martin. Oh well, everyone says his book are awesome so I WANT THEM!

On a much more depressing note, school starts tomorrow >_>. I still haven't done the three drawing and French homework that's due tomorrow, but I'll get to it. The drawings will be pretty easy and babelfish will "help" with the french. School is really gonna put a damper on my Co-op WaW play with my bro, as I come home around the time my dad does, and he hogs the big screen for hours. Damn you, public schooling, damn you to hell.

It's a birthday again! My friend Jess's to be precise, she's a sort of friend but it's been a bit of a weak one ever since she DUMPED ME FOR MY BEST FRIEND, EHEM.

No but that was like two years ago, still.. You know what I might right? One of those relationships where you're like "Oh yeah, lets be better friends like we used to be!" But it never happens... Lol.

She loves dressing up in formal crap and going out for meals, so we did exactly that! Meaning I got to dress up like a big boy. 8D

We went to Wagamama's (weird name huh?) in Bath, which is, like, this Japanese resteraunt place. I had Miso Ramen with a side of raw salad, yummy! Oh! and an Apple & Lime juice. 0.o
I tried to get away with ordering a beer but they asked for ID. xD
TOM GOT SERVED AND HE'S NNOT EVEN SIXTEEN! ¬_¬

Anyway, after that Benj made us walk to the Royal Cresent so we could see the 'view', it was pretty crap, and VERY cold. D;

Having nothing else to do we made our way back to the bus stop, but with a 15 minute wait Tom decided he wanted to use his Macdonald's voucher's up which ended up making us nearly miss our bus! :O

The bus took us back to Jess' house where we drank and chatted, and where I also found out that they were all lightweights that couldn't take their drink. T_T
Seriously though, they'd have, like, two shots and feel sick. o.o'
OH! And you know those people who say something like "Oh yeah, and he said blahblahblahblah", well they were the people who would then say "Oh yeah! He was like, blahblahblah!" FIVE TIMES AFTERWARDS. |8

As you can probably tell I left, seeng as I'm here typing this. xD
What's funny though is my friend Chris was hinting for me to get him out of staying, but I pretended to want him to stay saying stuff like "Oh no, don't leave on my part! Stay, you'll have a great time!" xDDD

Six trillion people got the c4d and people are noticing the effect c4d's mass usage Loki. I don't even like my outcome anymore. There are 340687349087346 mistakes with it and I don't think it's the best quality I could do by any means. Plus, the original banner was made at three in the morning, so I was BLEHERDOOLES XDD /excuse for poorly made banner. The artworm thing is also pretty cool. While I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to go about doing it, It seems like a lot of fun and YAYAY I'm going to get better at photoshop because I'm in a rut and I suck more than my year old brother does at riding a skateboard (I put him on my longboard and held on, but he just kept sitting down. So we both sat down on it and "skated" down the hallway XD). I need to improve pronto. :/

My love for the DCC is back. I never realized how much fun it is to talk to people. It's all like "hi" and "mutantcarrotmutantcarrotmutantcarrot!!!" and such.
